did Trump ... did he really not know Nidal Hasan is paralyzed until AFTER he approved the livestreaming of his execution by firing squad?

She don’t care? If murder is never ok, and murderers should be put down, we need to talk about some murdered fishermen and school children.

Whether he did or not, it would make no difference to him. Just shoot him & get it over with. How many other presidents past/present ordered a firing squad?

Because everyone who’s never watched an execution live doesn’t believe the death penalty exists… Mr. Mace apparently doesn’t understand that watching this event will not deter a single murderer but will recruit a generation of terrorists

If this account is accurate, the public deserves to know what information Trump received before approving such a consequential decision. Decisions involving a person’s medical condition and an execution demand careful review, not impulsive approval.

Silly question! It shouldn't matter whether he's stuck in a wheelchair or not. Turning an execution into a publicity stunt is grotesque and barbaric! That's the kind of Taliban shit a civilized nation should rise above.

I wonder if the volunteers are aware. Then again, cops in Wilmington DE shot a man in a wheelchair to death while he was having a mental health episode, so it's not unheard of in civilian society.

They could have just strapped the guy to a pole before the cameras rolled. But it’s more the outcry against it, than trump showing compassion.

Does anyone really care what Nancy Mace "thinks" or says? Why give this harpie any more air time? Did trump know about the guy whose death he wants to live stream? trump barely knows which side is up anymore. He does what his handlers tell him to do and then says whatever comes into his brain.

It doesn't really change the barbarity of it all. A livestream of any execution is disgusting, savage, and grotesque. But sure, it's not the "great tv" they were aiming for. These people are monsters.

The CNN bookers couldn't get anyone else to comment on this question other than Mace, someone that is "out of the loop" if not out of her mind?

The death penalty is 95% political red meat, and the only reason Trump is reconsidering it is because he knows the disability will tip the optics from bloodsport to the gratuitous cruelty that it actually is. They should be forced to livestream, and attend, every execution they do.

I think trump really wants to put him in a stadium with wild animals and live steam him getting mauled to death. All while he sits in the stadium and watches the 'event' like he's King Jeffery.

Death should never be a spectacle. Mace should know that. The fact that she doesn’t tells me everything I need to know about her.

Mace says she doesn't care how the sentence is carried out, but fails to address 'why would the GOP support the livestreaming of anyone's execution'? Probably because it will ✔️please the boss ✔️chum the MAGA base's bloodlust ✔️make Hegseth look like a bigger testosterone-laced dick

nationalsecurity.law.georgetown.eduIs live-streaming Nidal Hasan's military execution legal? Georegtown LawOn October 8, 2026, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that Nidal Hasan, the former U.S. Army major and psychiatrist convicted of killing 13 soldiers and wounding another 31 at Fort Hood...

If anything, the prospect of blasting a disabled person with rifle bullets probably must have whetted Trump's sadistic appetite. If he has turned against it, it must be because his retinue finally managed to steer him away from a bad PR move.

“If you murder people you’re going to be put down for it” Hmmm how about all the innocent people murdered by DJT since 2025? By multiple means. Children, women, civilians. Withholding food, medicine, sending bombs. When will he face his crimes?

Bullshit he knew! He just doesn’t like the backlash he’s getting. And as usual if the public pushes back trump always pulls a 🌮 and their excuses arealways that they weren’t aware or they hadn’t read it. “I didn’t know” is straight up BS!!!

Oh I think he’d care, just not for any reasons normal humans might care. Shooting a guy in a wheelchair simply doesn’t look as cool. The imagery doesn’t line up with what he envisioned, and it doesn’t make the regime look powerful. He thinks of everything like a TV show.

Agreed, it doesn't look as tough to shoot a man in a wheelchair, more like picking off a sickly looking deer with a limp instead of a 12 point buck. Trump fancies himself a Hollywood producer, he is literally looking for a stereotypical murderer who continues to pose a threat.

I would like to see those statics that say this deters mass shooters from thinking l am not going to act on my delusions of murder because l saw a execution. This slimey woman is herself a pychopath.

Fucking clownshow of a wannabe regime. Can’t wait till the midterms. Let em try an take over. Fuck Hegseth, fuck miller, fuck all the acolytes. I’m tired of these scumbags making a mockery of America. Yes, Hasan ain’t a good person, but for fucks sake what’s the accomplishment of a live execution?

He’s not alone….at some point members of the GOP have to ask themselves the question I just posed. He isn’t the problem-they are. They enable him. At what point do you honor your oath to put country before party? Few in the GOP serving now have that distinction but better late than never…

Did Blitzer follow up and ask how mass murders would be deterred by a public execution when they all expect to die in the attempt?

Hegseth pitched the idea. I wonder if he even knew about the paralysis? He's all about image (and not much more). 12 soldiers with guns pointed at a man in a wheelchair, is that the image he wants?

no real words for this...... "if you murder then you need to be put down" hmmmm usa murdered a lot of kids, ice murdered a few, so quite a lot of people need put down it seems.... But a guy in a wheel chair shot at .... hmm optics all wrong...

Trump only knows what he is told, either verbally or visually through the carefully curated and edited materials provided to him. Ignorant and incurious from birth, he has never independently sought or verified information.

Meanwhile, Israel, "the only democracy in the Middle East", has just passed a death penalty law that critics say is designed to apply to Palestinians only. Different countries, same direction of travel. Ask yourself who's setting the tone.

Wide majority of Americans oppose livestreaming Nidal Hasan’s execution: ABC/Post/Ipsos poll A slim majority support the Fort Hood shooter's execution by firing squad. Eight in 10 Americans say the execution of former Army officer Nidal Hasan should not be livestreamed

Because there aren’t any sane members of the GOP to interview so it’s just a matter of which poison you pick today I guess. WHO that is prominent in the GOP can YOU think of that can be reliably interviewed without saying something utterly heinous? Or just straight up propaganda/LIES? Anyone?

Not a one. They are all filled with lies and insanity. So don’t interview any of them. Stop giving them platforms to spread misinformation. That’s my take.

Mine too, friend. I’m tired of watching them all not answer a single question and just use it as an opportunity to spew more propaganda, only this time to infect liberal media audiences where it was contained to only Reich wing media before 🤨

I think harping on the fact he is paralyzed from waist down as a reason not to livestream his death by firing squad is a big mistake. It suggests if he could stand up they'd be fine with it. It is a distraction from the point that public display of an execution is ISIS-style barbarism

The only reason Trump objects is because the prisoner can't physically jitter into a death dance like he's seen in spaghetti westerns. Because his whole life is a movie and a reality show
