📢 1.60 is rolling out now (2/5) Posts, profiles, and user search are now available without login! You can finally share your quality posts with the group chat or in articles. If you don’t want the Bluesky app to show your posts to logged-out users, opt out in the Moderation tab.

📢 1.60 is rolling out now (3/5) RSS feeds for profiles! Access your posts via RSS by pasting your profile link into your RSS feed reader and it will automatically be discovered.

📢 1.60 is rolling out now (4/5) Bugfixes: • Reduced overall network traffic. • Fixed an issue that would cause your pinned tabs to fall out of sync with their content. • Fixed some issues with the "Appeal label" interface, which now appears in the dropdown menu of posts.

📢 1.60 is rolling out now (5/5) More bugfixes: • Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause modals to float to the top of the screen. • Android post-composer should no longer get squished.

I’ve tried to paste a profile link into quite a few RSS readers, and so far only Feedbin recognizes a user’s profile as a valid feed. Is there something non-standard going on or do I have to do something special to get it working with a service like IFTTT or MastoFeed?

Am I right in thinking (a) the RSS feed contains no images and (b) BS blocks me from displaying my public web view of my posts inside an iFrame? If so, how can include, on my personal website, my own Bluesky feed with images for each post?

To my relatively untrained eye, it looks like the key code here re (a) is on GitHub at bluesky-social / social-app / bskyweb / cmd / bskyweb /rss.go Function: (srv *Server) WebProfileRSS(c echo.Context)

I've said it before and I'm saying it again: without having an option to protect an account (the lock on Twitter) *soon* you're going to lose a lot of people who have reasons to fear stalkers, abusive partners, exes, and mobs.

id love if they kept around *some* of the blue sky motif on splash actually, it's a little rough right now but it has the potential to be so much more visually interesting than everything else with just its logo smack dab in the middle

Can you PLEASE FREEZE THE FEED so I don’t keep sending feedback every time my feed re-sets without being asked and not have it freeze when we get to the “top” of the page? I don’t gaf about the fediverse.

So now everyone can see our profiles, can we have 2FA to stop them being taken over? Kind of a basic piece of security in my view, and I'm a little surprised you're going public without it.

A question about the domain names purchased through bluesky. Will we be able to manage our pursued domains, or will it only to the names? Do be a wast if only the latter.

The butterfly design is perfect, and seems obvious and inevitable as Bluesky’s logo in hindsight. There are echoes of the bird app in a good way, whilst giving it its own distinctive design. It just looks right on my Home Screen. “What’s up?” as a tag line is *chef’s kiss*! Nice work!

Now that @bluesky.app has changed logo to a butterfly, I was wondering if posts would no longer be called skeets. I vote for flaps as in the Butterfly Effect when a butterfly flaps its wings can lead to major effects down the line.

It seems to be a little buggy. In case it actually decides to do something else than displaying an empty white screen, it displays some text which I can observe through a white screen with a butterfly shaped hole. I can move the text up and down, but that's not very useful. Screenshot below.

I miss the capacity of making timelines based on others' posts, is it possible in future. So I can add a post to this and a kind of collect them (very funny posts of humor, interesting posts of science... ) Would be great!!

Congrats the new branding makes it all a little more mature. It fits the friendly vibe of the Bluesky community perfectly. Keep it coming, can’t wait for all the things planned for 2024! 👍

Congrats! After updating the app my feeds are shifted in the top bar. When I click on #Greensky I get served #Astronomy instead and when I click on #Astronomy it tells me “feed not found.” “Go to profile” results in error page.

I like the new logo! Anyway, I hope you'll fix soon the bug on Android that can't show you all the albums on the phone when you want to add an image on a post... It would be great! 😊 (In the pics: all the albums I have on my phone - the albums that Bluesky shows me)
