Also, asking about "purity tests" is incredibly suspect behavior. Most of the time any sharp dividing line is there for some pretty good reasons, and at the least before demanding to cross it they should think really hard about why it's there, and who gets hurt without it.

Thing is, when I think of "leftwing purity testing" that's holding back the movement, I'm thinking of some guy who'll say you aren't a leftist if you dont know Karl Marx's blood-type or Kropotkin's favourite Pokémon or some other academic minutia. Because there is ALOT of cases of sexual assault committed against transgender women when kept in the male estate. We even have a name for systemic institutional sexual violence of this kind it's called V-Coding.

The prison situation is complex, but people want a blanket one-size-fits-all policy. But ask yourself this, would a fully physically transitioned woman, in prison for eg motoring offences, be safe in a male prison? Do you think trans men should be in women's prisons? The answer to both is NO!
