That is an interesting idea! But it's a bit tricky, since I'd have to display the falling star based on a *lack* of data. I don't think there is a data stream that feeds me with all the accounts as they reach X days of inactivity, so I'd have to track every user's last post date in my own DB 🤔

I came up with an idea for something like this around 2001. Every profile was a star and as people added interests or posted, the stars with more in common formed constellations and eventually sort of solar like systems. It was beyond me to create then. This is lovely to see.

If you dig deeper it explains that the bigger/brighter the star the bigger the post, after awhile the older stars disappeared to make room for newer ones, I think they sky holds up to 150 at a time

I've been trying to dig deeper into finding out if this is possible as what I have found so far is a no unfortunately. I will say I do hope one day it becomes a possibility

Awesome! Also I didn’t know they offered a simplified, JSON version of the firehose, that’s very good to know. The firehose was a big pain to use

It would be really cool and beautiful if you could click on the star at any given time and it would pop the bluit. In any case its really nice, congrats!

I wonder if this would cause performance issues on a PC if it was used on a web background (with something like Wallpaper engine) it's fantastic.

Yeah, the more often people post the faster the stars will flash in and out. So at the current rate this might be a bit unusable in a few months! 😅
