It’s hard to overstate how much of this moment is driven by people who got a taste of accountability and were very, very mad about it.

Or is it their game! Authoritarians love to play! With them it isn’t about complexities (psychological reasoning)but the simplistic manipulation, of what their focus actually is. Evil has many faces!

"...the only check on it is that sooner or later a false belief bumps up against solid reality, usually on a battlefield." - George Orwell, In Front of Your Nose, 1946

While concerned, sober minded people are grasping at ways to constrain this madman, it appears the only ones who control him are those with access to the Epstein files. That is exactly why he fights so hard to keep them from anyone with a shred of honesty.

This phenomenon warrants scientific study: Was it a failure of early upbringing, where accountability was never instilled, or did the accumulation of wealth and power later in life create the illusion that accountability no longer applied to them?

And the reason accountability makes them very, very mad is because their inner-self is *THAT* fragile. One tiny crack and it's over. Enter, overcorrection, most commonly known as narcissism.

Everyone who had been paying attention had known this for years, and we kept warning people, but for some reason, they were infatuated with the creep and thought he was God's gift to humanity. AND THEY STILL WORSHIP HIM! He would get re-elected tomorrow no matter who ran against him.

He still refuses to acknowledge he got wiped out in the 2020 election, half a decade later he still claims it was rigged. You can so easily see that he's a violent rapist, his reaction to being told no & not getting what he wants is pathological, so clearly unhinged, & full of rage Fkn nepobabies

That's because 2020 was rigged - in his favour. He can't believe that his cheating could have been beaten fair & square, as it was. The R's know it was turnout, & not cheating, that made the difference. Hence the massive efforts to prevent people from voting in future.

A taste, yes, but like those tiny spoons you get at a ice cream shop. None of them got any actual consequences for their actions, and that's the massive problem.

Yep. It dates all the way back to Nixon, and the guys like Roger Stone who thought he never should have resigned and worked to make it so no GOP pres would ever do the same again.

You have to admit it’s an unusual, rare experience for the mediocre white male to have this experience. Deep in their hearts they know they’re mediocre while the patriarchy encourages a sense of superiority - disquieting.

I was just thinking about the fact that Tiger Woods’ first instinct after flipping his car while driving under the influence, was to call the president of the United States…

What better way to avoid accountability than to reach out to the person who has aggregated sufficient power to avoid it permanently? If no one can touch you, you do whatever you want. Narcissists gotta stick together. 🤮🤮

This moment is only the product of hundreds of millions of self-servers. We're in the middle of an existential crisis for the US - possibly the Earth itself - and still nobody will even consider doing anything significant to stop it.

I don’t even think they got a taste. More like they got a whiff. A mere implication of accountability. And they turned into this. This is the world we created when we allowed the illegal war in Iraq and Afghanistan and then rehabilitated all the war criminals back into polite society.

Republicans love to brag about job killing regulation cuts until chemical and petroleum plants blow up, towns and people die, then they blame the liberals for politicizing the tragedy… 🤷‍♂️

We Americans need to demand that the next president and congress ruthlessly prosecute the crimes of this administration. There has to an accounting of the crimes and corruption.

Before Trump began rage posting his way to genocide charges the Strait was open & gas was 40% less. newrepublic.com/article/2087... The mad king & his lackeys in Congress must face accountability at the polls for their catastrophic strategic failure in a poorly planned war of choice. #VoteBlue!

Trump is looking for a new excursion, uhm the Vatican?! The Pope should immediately issue a statement declaring there are no Oil Reserves under the Vatican to keep Trump, Hegseth, and Republicans from committing a military excursion into Rome.

It’s a bit of a clue as to just how deeply criminal the people at the top are, and why the next Democratic president needs to ruthlessly prosecute all of them.

That moment when the email from Hegseth's mom was published was eye opening. Some days it seems like there are a bunch of little boys who never grew up who have ended up with enough power to lash out at people in serious ways because they're still hurt inside. Hegseth, Watters, Alito, Trump. Vought?
