Publisher: Do you want to put an LLM clause in the copyright statement? Me: Definitely. How specific can we get? Publisher: As specific as you like.

People have asked me, "you were in insurance, wouldn't AI make your life easier?" I tell them I'm a voice actor and my state is the first in the US to pass legislation telling AI it can go fuck itself with a chainsaw. They say "oh". #ELVISact #yayTN #voiceover #voiceacting #FUAI #dontletaiwin

Soon many accessibility technologies will incorporate neural networks. Many blind people are already using AI assisted glasses to "see". Wouldn't this clause forbid them from reading the book? I'm saying this because it looks to me that a reference to "for profit" would be convenient.

I love it, but what‘s to stop the tech companies from just using it anyway? They’ve already demonstrated that they don’t give a shit about essentially stealing copyrighted material.

As much as I fully agree with this, my concern is that it won't work. The huge companies will potentially just ignore it, and if anything legal comes out of it then they probably have bigger lawyers or else just pay the fines and keep doing it... :( But please - don't let that stop you!

This should be standard language for every book published. Can you give us all broad consent to freely use this verbiage (with attribution, of course)?

Adds this to my 'to do list' for when I upload updated book block files for all my books. And it's because I moved house. LOL, a whole book block file to alter one letter, add a space and then add two extra letters to the books... 🤦‍♀️ But worth it as I can also check for errors at the same time. 😊
