they think adding a mini bet in the middle or end of a video will make me want to bet but instead it makes me block the creator/influencer/company.

Every ad break on commercial TV and especially radio contains at least one gambling advert, throughout the day. It's appalling. Gambling destroys lives. It's not "just a bit of bingo" when you're blowing all of your money away. Same with National Lottery and Euro Millions - they're pushing a dream.

When the orange lump won the first time, the day after Brent Musburger announced he was opening a betting company in Vegas. It was chilling to me. Profiting off lies and youth, so many will be destroyed.

100%. I'm ok with sports betting existing. But it is a societal ill that just prints money for the predators, and we should be hard-regulating it like cigarettes.

No…We should taxing sporting events with Sporting Fees 1–Sport Centers: Excessive traffic congestion per event Fees 2–Wilderness Areas: (a) Pre-event preparation fees (b) Wilderness Safety fees during event and (c) Post-Event damages, reparations, and rehabilitation fees

ALL online gambling should be illegal. And most forms of AI should be illegal. And WWE should be banned from ESPN, because it's not a sport.

If not banned, the ads should at least be required to report the actual odds of consistently winning, which is only about 3-5%. Instead, they feature characters acting like they’re getting rich by gambling. The gullibility of their target audience, young males, is really exploited.

You are entirely right in your assessment of ads for online gambling on my TV. The celebrities who endorses should be ashamed of themselves. I have Samsung TV and Sling, and I will see ad after ad for online gambling. Next door, the house was in foreclosure because of his gambling. A tragedy

And I’m disappointed in Neil Patrick Harris, John Hamm, Matthew Broderick, and Jamie Fox for appearing in those gambling ads. They don’t need the money, and they should know better

In Australia a majority have expressed a desire for a ban on sports gambling advertising. Government relying on political donations, stubbornly ignoring the electorate. Gambling has bought our democracy. Only hope is that the government will be made to pay for this at the next election. #Auspol

All of the sports leagues: "We don't know why fans keep accusing our refs and players of betting and changing outcomes of games?" All of the pro sports leagues: Lets sign multi-billion dollar ad contracts with all the betting companies and show their ads nonstop during our broadcasts! Yeah!!

& I would add that if drug companies spend millions on ads they should be required to spend an equal amount on making those drugs available at a price people can afford.

Yes your right they fucking should if people are that easy to part with they're hard earned it shouldn't be easy for betting companies to exploit mugs game!

Totally agree with you , I think it’s starting to feel like a brainwash just imagine sitting next to your own 7 year old child while he learns about shaping a glorified believe about it! If i would describe the whole sport betting ads in one world i will easily choose ( UNACCEPTABLE)

They've had the opposite impact on me that advertising is supposed to. I wouldn't say I used to bet often but I did occasionally. Now, I almost never bet just because every game broadcast is pelting me with odds and parlays and I'm just tired of it.

Oh my God, I so agree!! I have never placed a sport bet in my life yet my email spam box sometimes has hundreds a day😡😡😡 if you have a gambling problem it’s gotta be like hell on earth there’s no way you can escape from it😡😡

All betting ads should be illegal. Hell almost every ad that isn't local should be illegal. Whens the last time you saw an ad for a local place? Vs when's the last time you saw an ad for Walmart? Capitalism has failed. And ads don't work unless it's for the dumbest person

The US is one of the few countries where prescription drugs can be advertised on TV, just as we are one of two countries that still have cash bail. It's only like that because of decades if money -- insurance firms backing bail bondsmen, pharma firms with deep pockets for ads.

When I say "cash bail", I mean commercial bail as an industry. That other country is the Philippines, and I can't find an online history of bail in the country, so I'm guessing they picked it up from us after the Spanish-American War.
