Went down to the Great American State Fair. My personal highlight might have been this Madison cosplayer arguing before literally ones of people that we’re a republic and not a democracy.

Madison would have understood that a republic is a kind of democracy. Saying "we are a republic not a democracy" is as stupid as saying, "that's not a dog because it's a collie."

I’m just guessing, but I don’t think Trump has ever been to any State’s fair. Save your time, money, and energy….go to your own State’s fair. Loads of fun, info, food, music, animals, arts, etc

Misleading rhetoric. Madison narrowly defined democracy as only the pure sort administered by each citizen directly, but he acknowledged that a republic is a representative type of democracy.

Who wants to tell him a republic is a form of democracy & that we're a constitutional republic which still is one. They don't even know they are actually fascists. 1st they defunded education, then they indoctrinated nationalism without teaching it's not-see-ism, not patriotism. ...& Here we are.

It’s like arguing you have skittles, NOT candy. Like I don’t know how you tie your shoes in the morning if this is the level you’re functioning at.

1: Do you believe that transgender people and cisgender people should have equal rights/protections? 2: Do you think that politicians should advocate for or against the above position? 3: If you answer "yes" to both questions, why did you disagree with Parker Malloy's take on what Acton said?

I get so sick of this. What he's describing is a DIRECT Democracy. There's like one of those in the world. But here is a pop Quiz: Name the mechanism by which we select representative leadership for our Republic.

"We're a republic, not a democracy" equals "We should be a Fascist dictatorship with no civil or human rights. Just one country, one people, one Trump."

Also, all these soldiers dying for "democratic regime change" in Iraq and Iran, and yet democracy is not good enough for red-state morons in their own country? A Fascist "republic" instead?

Who’s dumber, the creator of a fake picture showing many times the number of people that would be safely allowed in. OR the dumb fuckers who still believe it’s real.

The two are not synonymous. Look at the UK, and a few countries in Europe: they're both democracies *and* monarchies. America happens to be a republic and a democracy, and only the lazy (like that guy in the clip) argue otherwise.

Our county fair boasts between 4,000-5,000 T-Th each day, Friday, Saturday, 8,000 a day easily. That's people. Generally, there are about 1,000 cows and half as many pigs and goats showing in the arena. At this point, we have more cows, pigs, and goats than are at this thing any day of the week.

That's so much more optimistic than I was thinking. 😅 I figured it was someone else who was filming for the comedic impression left by the lack of audience. 🤷‍♀️

And hence, the effort to destroy America's democratic republic to remove the will of the people from governance. That is called an autocratic republic. This should be no laughing matter.

I love this for tiny fake christians like Chris Tomlin. Folks, because he sings songs about a book of fables, does not make him any closer to eternal grace than me, you or anyone else.

I can't believe these images. Trump and the GOP crave so badly to be popular - these images must truly crus them no matter how confident they appear on Fox News.

Love the guy that just wanders through. Don't know how that woman just stands there. Must have overworked her one brain cell.
