Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Auschwitz — a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps — was not located in Nazi Germany either.

That is a myth. www.theguardian.com/uk/2001/feb/...
Not just that one... bsky.app/profile/jayd...
Fact: Auschwitz was a “brutal foreign labor camp”… in Poland Jasenovac was a “brutal foreign labor camp” in Croatia Mauthausen was a “brutal foreign labor camp” in Austria We need to start calling this what it is…
From Timothy Snyder today (snyder.substack.com/p/state-terror): "A simple way to escape from law is to move people bodily into a physical zone of exception in which the law (it is claimed) does not apply."
I’m not sure of your intent by this message. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auschwi...
On purpose.
"...the Jews of Vienna were murdered in Belarus. Why is that? And the answer is that the German state couldn’t actually murder them inside Germany... To carry out mass killing, it had to first create this zone of anarchy out in the east and then physically take the Jews and send them out there..."
These were concentration camps. "The Nazis distinguished between extermination and concentration camps. The terms extermination camp (Vernichtungslager) and death camp (Todeslager) were interchangeable in the Nazi system, each referring to camps whose primary function was genocide."
brilliantmaps.com/nazi-germany... Quite a few camps. Of the death-camps, none were in Germany proper, but in occupied territories. Belsen, Buchenwald and Dachau are well known, they were in Germany proper.
They knew about Bergen-Belsen. MAGA won’t care if it’s in country or not. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...
