They should make a typography themed Batman villain called Gotham Bold. "Alfred, his name suggests to me he is adaptable and can work in any situation but blends in with the crowd and lacks a strong identify of their own."

The complete Flash VS Ming fight from the past few weeks of FLASH GORDON. This is the first time in our whole rebooted series where we're actually seeing these two fight face to face — It's the year three finale, I wanted it to feel BIG.

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

Animation for the first season of Thundercats for Rankin/Bass, including the series’ incredible intro seen below, was by the Tokyo-based studio Topcraft. In 1985, Topcraft went bankrupt and its assets and animators became Studio Ghibli, under Miyazaki, Suzuki, and Takahata.

Last month we passed a milestone without my realizing: I have now done over ONE THOUSAND STRIPS since I took over FLASH GORDON in 2023. I cannot thank you all enough for reading, discussing, and sharing the comic these past few years. Truly the best gig I've ever had. Much, much more to come ⚡

If anyone is at GenCon and sees these on the @ipr.bsky.social stand or buys copies please send pics! I love seeing my games out in the wild and it still amazes me that they get exhibited at shows I'll probably never attend!

This points to a wider problem in British culture, media and politics. The UK just seems to either not care or actively hate its non-traditional soft power @2000ad.bsky.social is almost 50yrs old, Games Workshop is a global phenomenon. You’d think these would be celebrated more as British excellence

Craig Grannell@craiggrannell.bsky.social

Another year of Comic-Con. Another year where neither John Wagner nor Pat Mills were added to the hall of fame. Which feels increasingly absurd with every passing opportunity. Wagner should be in for Dredd alone. But he’s done so much more. Without Mills, no 2000 AD – a huge influence on comics.

reading the replies to this, it is also wild how many Americans get food poisoning from chain restaurants, something that essentially (?) never happens in the UK?

It has been so rewarding working with local writers - some of whom are having their very first publication - to celebrate my Glasgow SF community as both a group with a long legacy and a welcoming and ongoing meet-up to talk writing and get feedback from other creatives
