My short film POLAROID, starring @alixbenezech, got over 100,000 views and some lovely reviews back in 2020. But its original links have since vanished. Thanks to Bluesky's new 10-min video limit, it's alive again. Headphones on! Sound matters a lot. If you enjoy it, please share!

Come on, Nintendo. It's the perfect opportunity to acquire a studio responsible for some of the best level design in gaming. That's right up your alley, isn't it?

Xbox has extended Arkane Lyon's consultation period by around a month, as the search for a new owner continues. If one isn't found, the studio will likely be shut down. https://bit.ly/4eyLtaB

The price of Xbox's next generation console, codename Project Helix, may be higher than many of us expected. Helix, which is reportedly going to ship as two devices, is estimated to cost close to $2,000. https://bit.ly/4k8ErNi

Today, I decided to dump all my thoughts about A.I. infecting the retro and Saturn scene into one cohesive article. In short, I am certifiably sick of this.

SEGA SATURN, SHIRO!@segasaturnshiro.bsky.social

Is there any harm in using AI to work on — or entirely create — projects for the Sega Saturn and elsewhere in the retro gaming scene? Yes, PandaMonium says in this opinion column, equating such work to digital asbestos: www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/09/24/c... #sega #saturn #segasaturn #retrogaming

People should stop putting boundaries to creativity : it's ok if a sequel is less good. It's always worth the shot. I'm not a fan of the two Matrix sequels but they're worth it for some insane sequences that I'm glad we got. + sequels gave us Godfather 2, Batman Returns, Indiana Jones 2, ...

Time Extension@timeextension.com

I've said it before and I'll say it again, The Matrix should have been a single-film series. The first is just *so* perfect that it didn't need any sequels.

C'mon. Person-on-the-street test, when you go to the PSN "STORE" and click "ADD TO CART" and then "CONFIRM PURCHASE" you are very clearly "buying a thing that you should own"? (Y'lnow the thing that is now listed as a PURCHASED GAME in your GAME LIBRARY)

VGC@videogameschronicle.com

Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...

it is impossible to be excited over decomp projects now that literally all of them are vibe coded mess and/or stolen from other people's work. they've sadly become too mainstream for their own good

"Digital is convenient"? Fuck off. Not if I wanna play it a day when Internet is out or even if just the connexion sucks. Not if I wanna sell the game after finishing it. Not if I wanna lend the disc to a friend for a week. Not if I wanna gift it to someone. Just fuck off.

I can't say it enough: popularity algorithms are destroying the world. Whatever it's politcs. Culture. Or even dating apps. They took the joy out of the 1990's - 2000's - early 2010's.

The industry makes great games, but nobody can find them. Algorithms built to surface content are increasingly rewarding volume, familiarity, and short-term engagement over quality or originality. https://bit.ly/44VFYO9

Imagine a world where Nintendo started the Switch 2 generation in 2025 with those awful Game-Key Cards… only to end the generation a few years later as the champions of physical media. I’d love to live in that world.

For years, the Internet has felt like a poisonous swamp. You could still make your way through it, even if it hurt. But since a few months, the Internet is starting to feel more like a bottomless dumpster. One there’s no climbing out of.

This is insane. And check the comments: a lot of other illustrators who hate AI and will never use it, had their works flagged as "Likely made with AI" 🤦‍♂️

A new example of Meta shithousery. This is a post of mine on Instagram (left). Click the dots top right and this advisory note appears (right). I never use ai, never will. Why would they do this? Who benefits? Are they just trying to make viewers think everything is genAI so they just accept it?

100% accurate

Chloe@addamschloe.bsky.social

piracy is the only extant form of media preservation that exists in games right now, you might find it morally reprehensible but there is literally no other institution that will keep games alive in 25, 50 years' time

You don't own a digital game. It's a licence you're granted, it can be taken away from you anytime. If the future is fully digital, they won't be shy anymore to take away games, forcing you to buy a licence again. Games create memories. Being able to revisit those is important in your life.

If you want more features like this but on recent films, buy DVDs and Blu-Rays again instead of reposting the same clips over and over again.

It’s fascinating how Gen AI has become a litmus test for how people understand how human nature connects all of us. Simply put: even if AI creates dot for dot the exact same art as a human, it still won't have the same impact. It will feel empty. AI reveals the lack of empathy among its supporters

Incredible. I found a take on generative AI so bad it woke me up.

I hope someone, somewhere cracks down on this shit. It’s basically akin to breaking into someone’s shop and stealing all their wares to sell elsewhere. Another example of why GenAI sucks and should be taken down.
