Ah this is exciting! There's a whole weird era of disk-based adventures made by Nintendo that was never seen outside of Japan, it's practically a lost period of their work to a lot of us. Time Twist, written by the Legend of Zelda scenario writer, just got translated! romhack.ing/database/con...

If anyone ever tries to get you to watch a '90s Robert Altman noir with Tim Robbins but you're just not up for it, remember it could be worse: they could be trying to get you to watch a '90s David Fincher thriller with Michael Douglas. Don't hate The Player, hate The Game

Batman Forever OST influenced me! Last good U2 song! PJ Harvey, Massive Attack, Brandy, and Mazzy Star! Method Man from Wu Tang, Nick Cave, Offspring covering The Damned, the INXS guy doing an industrial cover of Iggy Pop, The Flaming Lips and SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sspt...

Today's architecture column. The new book is both a goodbye kiss and a loving remembrance to the wild and historic of the Johnson Publishing offices, which were wrecked and removed when the building turned residential in 2017.

A couple of years before Carol Shaw started working at Atari, Joyce Weisbecker had already designed, programmed, and sold her first piece of video game software in 1976 for the RCA Studio II games console as an independent contractor, making her the first indie dev to boot.

Legend of Xanadu is one of the big ones. Historically incredibly significant and a great game, too. One of the most beloved PC Engine games. So, you know, you might want to play this one.

People say this was forward thinking, which it was, but anime's own popularity is the reason this didn't last. As I recall, licensing stuff like Eva became so expensive they simply couldn't do it anymore. This really was almost entirely community funded.

They changed and added some scenes to Alto's first fight but they never did fix the random missiles Gilliam fired from nowhere.

I know that I am far from famous. I'm not even close to the most popular performer on Headless Blood Idol streams! That's fine. I have internal struggles about my musicianship and singing, but I have 1000% confidence in my lyrics. And it MYSTIFIES me how TERRIBLE mainstream pop lyrics often are. 🧵

(1/2) Over three years ago, an issue report was submitted to Fixel's 3DO ODE repository on GitHub due to "Oyaji Hunter Mahjong" crashing, but... even with a CD-R?! While we still don't know why pressed discs alone allegedly work fine, we have arrived at the light at the end of the tunnel 🙂

On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.

You can’t even comprehend how important Eien ni Hen’s work is to the fan translation community. Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem, Sakura Wars, Tear Ring Saga, Glory of Heracles, Dragon Force II, Dark Half, Beyond Oasis, Psi-O-Blade, Arabian Nights, and so much more. What a loss. Rest in peace.

In memory of the translator, Eien ni Hen. May she rest in peace.
