It is fun to occasionally wade out of one's depth, but personally, I find it's better to leave the biting condescension behind.
everyone — consumers, publishers, writers — would wind up better off if web browser ad-blockers didn't exist and the rationalizations for using one are mostly clever justifications for what's just selfish behavior with obvious negative social consequences.

I haven't related to media in this fashion since I was in my 20s, and I think of that as a measure of personal growth. Plenty of shit I don't like, but I'm not letting a movie ruin my day.
is there a movie you truly despise? if you come across it while changing channels you'll throw the remote at the tv. or if people are talking about you will leave the room. once in a while you will watch it with someone just to point out all the parts that make you angry. for me it is dirty dancing

Men are coming up to me with tears in their eyes, and they're saying "Sir, my top-siders, they're gathering dust. There's nowhere to wear them anymore. The leather is dry and cracked. We can't even tie the laces anymore or they'll break!" Don't worry. We're going to be looking at that.
