So much to say about Brazil, not least of which is the role that Erika Hilton, a Black trans leader and most voted woman politician in Brazil, played in mobilizing folks for Lula. She was behind the critical, concrete, economic promise of shorter work-week. theprint.in/feature/erik...

theprint.inWho is Erika Hilton? Black trans politician was one of Lula’s loudest campaignersErika Hilton’s electoral triumph comes amid a hostile environment. Brazil has the highest number of reported murders of transgender people in the world, with 80 recorded in 2025.

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

“The followers must feel humiliated by the ostentatious wealth and force of their enemies…However, the followers must be convinced that they can overwhelm the enemies. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.” This is not weird.

They're weirdly pressing two kinds of white supremacist lies at once -- some non-white immigrants are poverty-wracked criminals who are eating our dogs and cats, but other non-white immigrants are rich elites who are buying up mansions and flying first class. Pick a fucking lane, you clowns.

I have seen nothing like this comic, and may never see anything like it again. It astounds me. You all ought to read it.

Don't let Elon Musk shape culture and don't let J.K.R. shape culture by playing in their sandboxes. Find better sandboxes. Take your game elsewhere. Have some gd self-worth.

South Asian racism has gotten so much worse than anyone wants to speak about on the internet as a whole, but especially on Twitter. This studio put out a really beautiful game about our culture, and you can help support them by following on here so they don't have to have to use twitter anymore!

We're Visai Games! 👋 We made Venba, an award winning narrative cooking game. As outsiders to the industry, we found our following in twitter but logging into it now means coming face to face with a lot of South Asian racism. If you like Venba, Follow us here so we don't have to login to twitter!

EVs in the UK are "running out of juice"...except they're not..and never were. Again and again, critics have doubted EVs, yet the market simply keeps on growing. [Original graphic by Carbon Brief, annotations added later]

There are NOT machine-made clothes. If there were, your clothes would be made in the country you live in (where the customers are), or in China (where machines are cheap). They’re made in Bangladesh or India or Indonesia because that’s where the LABOUR is cheap. Your clothes are made by people.

Award-Winning!! So deeply happy to see this hard work and talent getting recognised. The One Shot podcast is one of the best things on the digital airwaves, and I can't wait to see what they all do next.

One Shot: Last Train to Bremen took home the award for Outstanding Drama, and I was awarded the William Dufris "Those Who Dare, Win" Achievement Award yesterday and I wrote a big sappy post about it on the pictures app. I'm feeling very good and warm. www.instagram.com/p/Dd1alTwEf6...

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

THE CLANS HEIR IS A TRANS WOMAN (2013) is like Steven Seagal decided to Write/Direct/Star in a love letter to his trans friends, but it looks and feels like every action movie he's made... except Hitoshi Ozawa is way way way way cooler than Seagal.

This news is important because all the fucks out there actively attempting to wreck the world want you to think that the work is hopeless and just mitigating the worst case scenario. It's not. Fucking keep going.
