pretty clear bright line today, anyone in power who isn't doing everything they can to remove him from office deserves handcuffs when this is all over. that includes any democrat who votes for anything he wants

I cannot adequately explain how fucked up the World Cup situation is wihen the president of a host nation *threatens the safety* of one of the participants (Iran). The USA should be removed as a host nation and if it's not, the games shoud be boycotted and ANYONE WITH A MORAL CENTER should see that.

Wait, did the SAVE Act already pass and they forgot to tell voters? No! I’m going to need an update on this. I hope she was able to cast her ballot in the primary. Texans, if this is happening to you, post your story with the polling location. Put it on blast. And report it.

We can do this the easy way or the hard way, or the poached way or the scrambled way, or we can make this an omelette

Ok, I just saw the creepiest ad on spectrum cable. A bunch of AI families around their tables and even a floating car in the driveway of a house with a US flag. “America The Beautiful” from the heritage foundation. Wtaf. Has anyone else seen these?

He didn't shoot her in the head at point blank range because he felt like he was in danger. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he was furious that she wasn't afraid of him. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he felt emasculated.

Her vehicle's right front panel cleared the ICE agent who didn't open fire until after he was at the side of her vehicle. He used deadly force on a fleeing individual, which is against DHS policy. This is murder. He needs to be arrested.

Today once again proved that everyday citizens protesting their government are braver than the titans who own the largest media corporations, run the biggest law firms and lead the most powerful technology companies.

This seems significant: not a FORMER DHS official, but a SENIOR (current) one saying the officer who fired acted counter to training. This is not an admin that admits mistakes. And they are hanging this guy out to dry on Day One. I think they know this is bad. Really bad.

This. Leadership should endorse.

Congresswoman Robin Kelly@robinkelly.house.gov

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy. She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

Whose inauguration? What?

Trump on the ballroom: "It's bigger than I told you. It's, you know -- after realizing we're gonna do the inauguration in that building, it's got all bulletproof glass, it's got all drone, they call it drone-free roof. It's dronessss -- won't touch it. It's a big beautiful safe building."

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not. This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

REV. BLACK (who was shot in the head with a pepper ball): “If this is what they’re doing to pastors, journalists, teachers, mothers, and the elderly gathered to sing and pray outside ICE facilities… what might they be doing to our neighbors who are behind those walls?”

The richest man on earth owns X. The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros. The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. See the problem here?

Emerging from the darkness of this era will require us to acknowledge that the previous status quo, including many institutions that may have served us well in another era, have been failing for my entire lifetime.

Listen to the response to this and look how easy it is to say it.

Graham Platner for Senate@grahamformaine.bsky.social

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin. When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

You can joke about Pam Bondi’s ridiculous unprofessionalism all you want, but I’m deeply shocked by it: She acts as if she fears absolutely no consequences, convinced that there will be no more political power transfers. — This should shake everyone to their core.

to paraphrase, mr president: chicago is unsafe, unlike washington dc, which is safe, where parents love to travel, until they get a phone call that their son is dead, which doesn't happen anymore, because chicago is safe

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Washington DC is now so safe. Restaurants are booming, nobody is being shot and killed. They come in from Iowa, Indiana, they come from all over the country and the parents end up getting a phone call that their son was killed. Not anymore ... Chicago is safe. Now it's really safe."

It’s of note that during tonight’s hearing the DoJ didn’t even try to make the case that changing conditions on the ground in Portland warranted the CA National Guard. Instead they relied on legal technicalities. Proving again that what they say in court is different than lies they tell the public.

As a survivor, I can't think of a more fitting metaphor than a rapist creating loud noises with planes as a survivor tries to tell her story. I mean... just wow. Nevertheless, she persisted.
