Anthropic is not profitable, no, it's obscenely profitable (this is insane for a high-growth startup at this stage. it's most likely so profitable because of demand outstripping supply and them having the best models for most high acuracy cases.)

it's been obvious for a while that at least Anthropic is profitable. (Semianalysis alone had one or two pieces about it.) It's only that the overall build-out has been so insane that this seems hard to believe. Might just be maybe an once-in-a-generation technology

A couple years ago a popular refrain was, "I'm going to get so much work fixing AI messes." The reality—anecdotally described here, and in that Bank of America story making the rounds—is that AI ended up giving humans so much work fixing human messes.

They even reposted it for maximum exposure. Something they don't do for every post. A quote post dunking on a trans woman who did not interact with them and addressing her with "bruh". Neither serious nor nice people.

this is very obviously true and very basic. a lot of people don't seem to give a single shit about the things they spout online. they don't care about the argument. and they only care about the topic at hand as a means for ammunition. they try to score points. they play a (nihilistic) game.
