He's right, but we have to be cruel to the rich people who have spent the last 50 years plundering our economy at the expense of everyone else. The reason things are shit is because normal people don't have enough money. Tax these people into oblivion and give it to people who spend it.

Yeah, bad news folks: you know how everything in Britain has been increasingly generous, functional, rational, pleasant and generally awesome for the last twenty years or so? Well I’m afraid the party is over for you greedy pigs: it’s time for you to suck up some real pain. Thanks

Ukraine targeted Sberbank’s $1 billion mega-data centre in Balakovo, Russia. The 55,000 m² facility is designed to accommodate 120,000 servers hosting Russian government services, banking infrastructure, and advanced AI computing. No direct hit confirmed yet, more strikes likely incoming.

I think it just means we need to be punching more Nazis. Spider-Man knows the deal.

These people are traitors. They deserve to be treated as such.

Patriot Platform, the far-right group whose black-clad masked members caused hours of disruption in Dover yesterday, calls itself a Christian “army of patriots” dedicated to protecting women and children. There’s a problem with that story.

Let them. Don't rescue them. The world would be a better place.

Extreme right-wing protesters are in a stand-off with the RNLI in Portsmouth. The group, led by Danny Tommo, are waist-deep in the sea and threatening to go "under the water" if police try to arrest them. Six lifeboats monitoring. Volunteer rescuers giving up their evening for this.

I wpuld like to imagine, if all of my oldest and dearest friends told me that I was doing something hurtful to people, I would have the good sense and humility to stop. Shame Linehan is such a fucking idiot.

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

I suppose no surprise , but the anti trans movement sure reveal more about their “values” every day - first they came for the racists and I said “leave the racists alone because…”

the guardian describes decades of peer reviewed medical science, study, and research as an ‘orthodoxy’. they did the exact same thing with gender affirming care. this is the same playbook. get a right wing quack to cast doubt and then have a bunch of columnists present it as reasonable.

Plenty to reflect about re: the Arday affair, but I'm going to repeat this one thing. The playbook the right used here is effective even though it's not especially sophisticated, as it relies on the audience to do the dirty work. I've been calling it "Trojan horse propaganda", let's go with that. 1/

They won't reflect. The onky thing that might make people think twice before doing this again is manslaughter prosecutions against every editor who published the story. But there's not a chance that will ever happen.

I hope the media and everyone who gleefully egged on this campaign will reflect on their actions, take some accountability, and behave very differently in future. 2/2

If I caused a £430m infrastructure project to be diverted, potentially damaging a Bronze Age site, just so a bit of beach picked by a location director for the film adaptation of kid's book written by a lunatic would be undisturbed, there wouldn't be enough soap in the world to wash the shame off.

Surely the correct course of action here is to seize and destroy the equipment and throw the invaders into the sea. Or at least prison.

Also, while I'm on the subject, how many of these women Kathleen is so scornful of worked in public facing roles during the pandemic and had to deal with multiple COVID infections and are now suffering the after effects?

In the last few days the UK media has set its sights on ADHD and now on those using mobility aids. These people are absolute monsters. What business is it of theirs? Why should the disabled have to justify themselves to these absolute fucking ghouls?

The truly grotesque part is that we, the public, are beset by corrupt politicians, business leaders plundering wages, and literally nazis holding rallies. But apparently thats not a problem. Instead its a woman using a walking stick.

I'm fascinated by this new form of PR that's emerged with LLM companies where they leak stories like 'our product spontaneously assembled an army of domestic appliances & announced it would exterminate the lowly hairless apes - we barely managed to pull the plug' to imply it's really powerful

Ben Mortimer reposted

here's a fun lil exercise for cis people: how many articles would a publication have to print calling for your extermination before you would expect people who care about you to stop giving them money? and how would you feel if their excuse for still supporting them is some fuckass crossword puzzle?

It really is utterly depraved that giving a true account of a dead person's life is apparently "uncivil". If you don't wish to have people celebrate your demise, don't spend your life doing incredible harm to those weaker than you. The world is a better, safer place without hatemongers like in it.

As Rod Liddle has died, I notice this column I wrote in 2019 about his attacks on people with M.E. is on the most read again. Rebekah Brooks, of News UK, described Liddle today as “provocative”. In reality, he spread lies about very sick people for cash. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

theguardian.comRod Liddle vilifies disabled people. I’m tired of the hate. We all should be | Frances RyanWhether it is ME patients or another target, huge swathes of the media have normalised hatred of minorities for years, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

Journalists, if you cover anything Potter related you're actively harming trans people. There's no middle ground, no 'but my childhood'. In a decade or so the mainstream opinion of this evil monster will be in line with Anita Bryant.
