Yeah, I tried having a rational conversation with him and told him this would happen. Also, when something happened with his thumbnails and I alerted him to possible ai tampering, he was immediately defensive of THAT, but didn’t care about the consequences for the subject on the games.

I could spend the rest of my life analysing this feedback sign in the local Home Bargains. Did 'not happy' break from overuse? Was it taped over to ensure 100% positive feedback? Is the green 'b' in 'feedback' some kind of subliminal nudge? Is the duck tape indent because people still keep pressing?

I sometimes worry that nobody outside of the UK will get some of the jokes in Flit... But then I forget about that and go back to writing for "The Manks" and their rivalry with some bloke called Damon. (Ignore the Ape Escape placeholder tune in the background!)

This is not a "you didn't KNOW?" post because I truly envy and respect anyone unaware of Linehan's output BUT he's been EXTREMELY racist for years now. Attacking black actors on his wife's show Motherland as diversity hires; podcast screeds about muslims in Ireland; delighting in Palestinian deaths.

Not only is Video Game Esoterica (@videogameesoterica.bsky.social) so asleep at the wheel that he's peddling ports with malware in them now, but when called out on that he decides to try and play Internet Tough Guy... then backpedals into "haha you mad 😂" shit. Truly a blight on retro gaming.

The Super Mario Galaxy PC port (Nebula, not AstroCore) has gotten a bunch of updates and is now ready to talk about! Because why not more Mario youtu.be/WG1TfYQu7vs #gaming #gamingnews #retrogames

the idea that you're allowed to play a game entirely determined by hitboxes, frame data, move properties, etc. and experience the interplay of those with your senses, but you are NOT allowed to document them with numbers and images, is fucking crazy and stupid. get the fuck outta here Capcom

I think out of all the microgenres that have come out of vaporwave, utopian scholastic has been my favorite. it just hits so good

I'm surprised you could get the shit stains off Adam Michel's teeth long enough to take that picture.

Most billionaire wealth isn't in yachts or jewelry — that's just a few percent of it. Most is productive business capital: companies that employ people, build things, and fund research. Tax that wealth and you're taxing the businesses that employ us all. Cato's Adam Michel explains.

Is everyone involved with Bluesky permanently stuck in 2012 or something? Actually yeah no given that most of them are the kind of technolibertarian that everyone thought went extinct via Trump's first term, that tracks.

Burnout 3 is underrated as one of the very, very best games of all time because you can show Burnout 3 footage to people two decades later and their reaction will still be "hell yeah, this rules. I wanna play this right now."

A Florida man was found dead in his home during a welfare check in July 2022. Weeks later, one of the officers who discovered his body moved into the home and spent years impersonating him, according to investigators.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

it's crazy to me that there are so many jobs where the only stated goals is to help people but people who don't care about helping people take those jobs anyways

It's so fucking depressing at this point. Nothing is cool anymore, nothing is impressive. Just throw enough money into Chud and you get whatever you want out. Usually just wrong enough to bother anyone who actually gives a shit beyond surface level, but close enough to fool 95% of people.

A few years ago, a port of Super Mario 64 to Vectrex would've been the most mind-blowing thing. Now, it's so whatever because it's obvious it wasn't made by the guy getting the credit, it was CLOD.

I think the funniest shit is how Sony never tries to reassure people on what they buy. Literally never. They just argue "people know they don't own digital games" and literally never does any actual promises about them
