accidentally made a donation to minimum fun dot org. They only have two podcasts I can watch, they're both true crime podcasts about stuff Henry Kissinger did, and the hosts are clearly in the middle of a panic attack at all times

Real art isn't meant to coddle you. It's also not meant to challenge your preconceptions or evoke an emotional response. It's meant to be annoying

my nuclear-grade AI hot take that’s sure to get me cancelled until kingdom come is that refusing to use AI at all is rapidly becoming an extremely privileged lifestyle choice that feels social justice-y while actually being the complete opposite

being anti AI is a luxury belief only available to first world people, especially Americans imagine how important machine translation is for people whose first languages aren't that common

Queen of War is probably one of my favorites from the original deck compositionally, I realized too late that she’s off center but I do kind of like the implications that she’s a weapon too bsky.app/profile/hrab...

I don't think I ever watched an episode of Star Trek (science fiction isn't my thing), but I thought casting a Russian while the Cold War was still raging, to make the point that humans would get along better in the future, was a lovely touch.

it's kind of worrying just how many 21st/20th century American presidents you can say this about

It is both very unlikely Trump will personally succeed at establishing a full-blown dictatorship before he's gone, and also the case that Trump's tenure in American politics has massively increased the chance this country will have a full-blown dictatorship at some point in the next 30 or 40 years.

I once inherited a python system that handled about $100m in ARR. It was a single Django class that was 25k lines long and had zero tests or docs that always called out to MySQL and postgres via fork+exec rather than actually using those client libraries

I can't LinkedIn post, because I'd be like: I once accidentally came to rule an entire clan of vampires at a LARP I wasn't even in. This kind of leadership is forged, not inherited: Here's how you too can go from not having a character sheet to Queen of the Malkavians in one weekend.

Mark Zuckerberg is straight up way more evil than Elizabeth Holmes but because he’s got a lot of money the tech press has to go to his little events and pretend his ideas are valid instead of being like “what’s up with that dumbass shirt?” and “don’t you regularly influence elections/genocides?”

I think people intuitively understand that democratic candidates tossing trans kids to the wolves is not only morally repugnant but also politically ineffective, otherwise they wouldn't freak out every time someone said they weren't voting for a democrat who did this

Metroid ending but instead of removing the suit/clothes at lower times, Samus just keeps adding more at higher times: 0-2h: Power suit 2-5h: Power suit, camisole, bike shorts 5-10h: Power suit, sun dress 10-20h: Power suit, sun dress, big floppy hat 20h+: Floor-length wizard robe, big floppy hat
