When people ask what it was like to live in 2026.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "So I'm studying him. And I made the mistake of saying that I started off by studying his ass. I just wantasink. And then I looked at his feet & they were massive. I made the mistake of studying his anatomy. Maybe I should do that with Ken Paxton, but I'm not sure your body is gonna qualify."

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

But he wasn't wearing a tan suit... so this is fine...

Trump forgets to salute while exiting Marine One then lumbers across the tarmac to his Qatari bribe jet. Natalie Harp is the first one up the stairs to join him on the plane.

This awful saga is a good glimpse into how MAGA gets propaganda laundered into mainstream discourse by making just enough noise to get news outlets to treat their outrage as a "controversy," which then requires even-handed treatement of both sides' stances: newrepublic.com/article/2168...

Here's Nick Shirley in Portland, OR w Ryan "Rhein" Amacher, the virulently racist bigot behind the Talarico mental hospital hoax. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I'm pleased to welcome somebody to the White House somebody that I've been hearing about. I gave him a big hug today -- Nick Shirley."

Miller can't decide immigrants are either a drain on public coffers or they're coming to this country and doing TOO well

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

If I may - Doing the “I’m not touching you” thing with this ad is even grosser than slapping a disclaimer on it and putting it on the air. It’s the kind of behavior that Vivek’s buddy JD Vance would think was smart and funny. Unspeakably vile shit by cruel people who want power more than anything.

James Hell Brooks@kleinman.bsky.social

Sure seems like Ramaswamy is fine with the ad

The culture that produced this ad is the same culture that keeps publishing handwringing takes about therapists “pushing” adult children to go no contact with their parents, despite it being well established that childhood sexual abuse is common.

‘Not an Appealing Quality!’ Democrats on CNN Panel Rip Abdul El-Sayed Over ‘Cockiness’ The same pundits who tell female candidates to "smile more" now tell the Muslim Senate candidate to be more respectful to the white bigot who smears them with lies. #STFU www.mediaite.com/media/news/n...

Why is the President quoting 30 Rock?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Their wife likes them much more, or their husband. They get much more turned on by the fact the husband has a better job. They become almost violent in their love."

Someone tried to explain this picture of an example of approval voting from Wikipedia to him..... like that's the only explanation....

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I just left Alaska where we have a real bad thing. They have the ranked choice voting, where you go into I guess some sort of test tube or something and they pick whoever they hell they want."

This is an actual Nazi rally.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "The Republican Party, we believe that Somalia bandits, third-world gangs, and jihadist sympathizers do not belong in Ohio, they do not belong in America. We got to get them the hell out of here." More "De-port! De-port!" chants from the crowd.

LawMowerKid.gif captioned with You Agree!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: You said Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, but both sides said they have not agreed to that TRUMP: Well they agreed, you know why? Because I said 'you agree.' That's why.

Getting into a PR war with a toy store in Brooklyn for not selling you a bird because you’re "only daytime TV famous" is a 30 Rock plotline that works for both Jenna and Tracy

it’s 2026 how are we still doing the thing where website content popping into place during page load pushes buttons down the screen causing misclicks

SharePoint: Have you ever wondered what it was like using software in the late 90s? Well..... we're glad you asked.

lauren@lauren.rotatingsandwiches.com

Me: Hello SharePoint. I would like to upload a series of videos and I would like to display them in a specific order SharePoint: Suck My Dick. Fuck You. Go To Hell

Someone "helped" me with a project I usually do myself this week, where I upload csv files I create for another system that I then dump the files into SharePoint after I'm done for storage. This helpful person created the CSVs for me and uploaded the files into SharePoint.

Of the Downloading the CSVs, making manual manipulations to the files, loading them the other system and uploading them back into SharePoint steps, guess which one ate the most amount of time by a huge margin?

No joke... these peoples ideal really is Solaria from Asimov's Foundation series

Jess Calarco@jessicacalarco.com

It's telling that men would rather try to invent tech to replace humans' role in caregiving than step up as equal partners in parenting. Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.
