These people can all get fucked. People with disabilities offer an incredible amount to the workplace. Trust me when I say you likely have no idea of how much harder they are working than others. And yet, people tend to view others’ accommodations like they are personally being robbed.

The Trump administration wants to cull people with disabilities from the workforce. Requests for disability accommodations are not special privileges. They are required for people with disabilities to be able to work, and they should not be treated carelessly or maliciously.

govexec.comCDC, after months of delays, gives employees 20 days to resubmit disability accommodation documentationCDC is spending months, if not longer, to process reasonable accommodation requests because HHS-wide layoffs and separation incentives decimated the department’s human resources functions.

NEW: Congress appropriated $1 trillion for defense this year, more than twice as much as the combined budget for agencies overseeing health, veterans affairs, education, housing, agriculture and justice. We’re setting out to report on how this public money is being spent.

Oligarchs have always been a threat, but tech oligarchs represent a new level of danger. Their wealth dwarfs historical tycoons and their control over algorithms allows them to curate human reality. They own the digital infrastructure of thought

Of COURSE he's insider trading. He's a crook, he's ALWAYS been a crook, he's using the presidency to make billions. He ran to stay out of jail, to make money and to feel powerful, because that's what a narcissist like him gets off on. It was never about helping people.

People who don’t know information are ignorant and, from this ignorance, can think foolishly. But this becomes stupidity when rejecting offered evidence that could remove their ignorance. And even more foolish than that is being proud of not wanting to learn and staying ignorant.

“OMG, but if there was a multinational, blackmail pedophile ring wouldn’t someone have tried to sound the alarm?” yes. many tried. most of them women. but you didn’t believe them. you thought they were crazy. even when they sounded credible, they were discredited, silenced and sometimes killed.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights. There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us. This is my favorite guide.

We just saw this, and it’s a good idea for businesses to post. Private businesses are allowed to set dress and conduct rules. Requiring no full face coverings has long been standard for safety and loss prevention reasons, and it is within a business’s rights to refuse entry or service.

1/4 🧵 We’ve posted a lot lately about CDC denying reasonable accommodations to disabled employees -- e.g., telling a paraplegic person who normally teleworks to report to the office immediately or use leave. Yes, that’s really happening. Let’s talk a bit about why everyone should care.

The fact that 12% of federal judges are Black shows the corruption of DEI. The fact that 67% of Supreme Court Justices belong to a small legal cult called the Federalist Society shows the power of meritocracy.

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing. And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

Minnesota has been shaken to its core by political violence this year. We know first hand that rhetoric like this has real life consequences. Everyone should call this out for what it is - the sitting president calling for deaths of Members of Congress. This is what dictators do.

What is a good American? trib.al/PoDUCJI It’s simple: One who believes in the Constitution, representative government, the rule of law, and certain inalienable rights for all. That’s it. No Jesus. No God. No Christianity. The title “American” is open to all.
