Bill and Ted is better than similar movies because the teacher isn't the enemy. He is actively working to get them to succeed and pass his class, which means it's not some big bad responsible for their failure, but their own actions, or lack thereof, giving the main characters more agency.

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.
