discussed this further with someone the other night while games media has often had periods of shrinking, they have never quiet felt like this where as the space gets smaller it is also calcifying extremely quickly in such a way that you cannot see the path to it growing back out

I am so tired of the same gainfully employed men who seem so eager to remind us that the games industry and games media are "cyclical businesses," as if that is any solace to the minorities who just so happen to always be the first to be cut and last names on the call sheet when expanding again.

this might be the most unique looking indie series recently and I love how well the art and animation are done

Pokemon as a MOBA is the best possible concept MOBAs could have and man did they fumble it hard. I kept trying to get into it every now and then. It was so close to being something worth experiencing. And yet... terrible management and design got in the way every time.

I don't think it failed because of anything other than Timi shooting itself in the foot over and over. They continued to make the game less consumer friendly and suffered the consequences. They were even willing to let the game die in certain regions so they could add lootboxes.

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

Doesn't look like a lightstream issue. Computer was having a several second delay just alt tabbing when the game was in borderless windowed, so it wasn't shocking to see the stream capturing it at like 5 frames per second even if it didn't look like that while playing.

I might try again with a game that's even lighter in terms of system requirements but that really helps set my expectations for what I can get away with trying to stream from PC right now.

I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

I love being reminded that the audience really doesn’t give a shit about the developers. Like, forget that one of the most influential studios in our industry was just executed by its publisher, just make sure the product continues on the assembly lines!

After hearing news of BioWare's closure on Wednesday, over 75,000 Mass Effect fans have signed a petition demanding that EA put another studio in charge of the franchise or license out the IP. https://bit.ly/4siIubW

A wrong lesson to take from the Brazilian elections is that voting can defeat fascism. That's not true at all. Democracy is an incredibly frail system and the US almost took over the country through it. ORGANIZED PEOPLE DEFEATED FASCISM

It's another day, so let's talk about this. First of all, Lula didn't win the election alone. He won because more than half of the country FREAKED THE FUCK OUT and built a popular movement that organized several actions both irl and online.
