The Reflecting Pool is not a big ole swimming pool and should not be treated as such. Trump's meddling is a source of ridicule and a metaphor for his administration. Clearly the Pool needs to be drained and the paint removed. Time to dump more tax dollars into more paint and another failed attempt??

12% peroxide won't touch the Polyurea coating they applied. The issue was that it rained for 15 days between May 2nd & June 12th, with 3 consecutive days of light rain in May & 3 consecutive days of heavy rain in June, halting work. They applied a coating over concrete full of moisture. A big fail.

- It happens when you reject scientific info, cement's normally light grey & would reflex sunlight but overtime dirt builds up & the bottom of the pool gets darker, then sun heats up the reflexing pool & algae grows, so the dark blue is as dark as the dirt was & why algae is forming so quickly now!

The hydrogen peroxide gets diluted and breaks down to water and oxygen. Non-toxic. They filled it with city water which has high levels of orthophosphate. Phosphate is algae food. Add all the hydrogen peroxide you want, if you don’t treat the phosphate level it’s just gonna come back.
