Trump on China's bellicose rhetoric about Taiwan: "It's not a take over, they just don't want to see this place -- we'll call it a place, because nobody knows how to define it -- but they don't want to see it go independent."

It is difficult to think of a US president that has been humiliated more than Trump has been by Xi, Putin, Kim etc. Some say he's a sadist, but he is not, he is clearly a masochist who likes to get fucked by men way stronger than him.....

You don't know much about Taiwan either, don't you? Taiwanese Mandarin and Mainland Chinese are mutually intelligible versions of the same language, differing roughly like American and British English. The main differences lie in their written signs, accents, and localized vocabulary.

When Trump opens with, “Sir…”. Expect an unquestionable lie. When Trump says, “Nobody knows…”, that is an admission, an acknowledgment that he - as with virtually everything else - he has no f*ucking clue!

Xi knows Taiwan is an independent entity. And he’s learned, from watching Steve Bannon and Russ Vought, how to get Donald Trump to say the most cockamamie crazy shit over and over again until the idiots around us believe him. Watch. The congressional magats will all start saying this now.

Too late. Taiwan is already de facto independent: "Taiwan...is self-governed, democratic entity w/ its own constn, military, & elected leaders...as a de facto independent state." but it lacks broad formal diplomatic recognition, is not a member of the UN, and kept contested name "Republic of China"

Every time I think maybe I have a decent grasp on just what a HISTORIC scumbag Trump is, he finds a way to clear that bar and go even higher. This guy is one of the most evil people in human history.

German media this morning: For Xi Jinping, it is probably the most important summit result: After Trump's departure from China, Fox News broadcasts an interview in which the US President portrays Taiwan as a troublemaker - and thus supports Beijing's propaganda.

donny, I'll give you ten bucks if you can point to Taiwan on a map. I'll even give you a hint: it meets the DEFINITION of an island, you fucking doughnut!

Next xi will tell trump he wants Latin America - trump will give it away too? The appetite of dictators and criminals is endless.

The Chinese policy isn't even about any legitimate claims on the land. It's just another facet of the Chinese government claiming total ownership of all ethnic groups they consider part of China, everywhere across the globe. (and also wanting the land for military purposes)

Tldr the Chinese government believes it gets to force everybody who they think belong to them how they get to think and feel "One key policy for Xi Jinping, China’s president, is the “sinicisation” of China’s ethnic minorities – ie, assimilating their cultures as far as possible"

To be fair - both consider the territory to be China. Both have historically declared a desire to reunify- it’s just that Taiwan wants them to be a democratic whole, while the others want them to be a communist whole. It was a mistake to not pursue independence & international recognition in 1970s
