Even if they did fit on our roads, they'd not fit in our parking spaces and couldn't make the turns in our multi-storey car parks. They'd struggle in drive-thrus too. UK "gas" is $7.50 a USgal by the way so nobody wants a gas guzzler.

I do love to see yanks rent out the biggest car they can find at the airport and then regret it every time they have to move it. The acme of this was an incredibly unhappy couple who I saw try to drive past the Trevi fountain at 1.30 in the afternoon, they might still be stuck there today

Has any of the American car manufacturers ever been to Europe? Have they seen our cities? Europe is built for the Fiat 500, not for their pointless monsters.

There are plenty of these big beasts driving around here. They block parking spots (when they can find any), don’t fit through the streets, and the owners complain about gas costs. Well, you have to be able to afford stupidity. And expectations and reality clash pretty hard here.

Boo fuckin hoo Maybe the car makers could build cars that don't make everyone's lives actively worse in order to vastly increase profit by avoiding emissions regulations, the duplicitious, society-ruining fucks

supersized trucks are like MAGA: they’re overcompensatory, make a lot of noise, take up more space than allotted, waste resources & generally piss everyone else off.

The EU has ancient sewers being discovered in UK resident's back yards. Their road system has been redeveloped many times, and is constrained in many places by ancient buildings. No one "likes" the super sized trucks unless they are compensating. They are a road hazard IMHO. Basically, stfu.

I can only hope the UK does the same. Their bullshit loophole needs to be closed. It should not be possible for a tank to be smaller than your “””family car”””.

I agree. But what I was challenging was the implication that most U.S. pickup trucks run on diesel. Perhaps imported U.S. ones do, but most of those produced in the USA run on gasoline/petrol. If they tank up on E85, that puts pressure on yet a different fuel market.

Good! Block some more! Block Tesla. That shouldn't be allowed into Germany because it's a company run by a Naz* who should be charged under German law with supporting Naz* shit. A crime. A criminal company.

There’s no place for them on our roads, the size of vehicles is becoming a problem with euro car makers too, they’re getting ever larger and it is totally unnecessary. .

This "The idea of diverting agriculture production to produce biofuels is a shockingly bad idea even if biofuels had lower emissions than fossil fuels" @33:25 Report on Biofuels: "When you do the research.. they generate 16% more GHG emissions than burning fossil fuels"
