Pizza Hut is looking for ways to reconnect with customers after years of restaurant closures and shifting consumer tastes. Some fans say the path forward may actually lie in looking back at its era of colorful lamps hung over checkered tablecloths.

Is it because of private equity or because it’s cheaper and easier to buy the same products from Amazon

With Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us it was specifically private. Amazon had been around long before they went bankrupt and they were extremely busy at the time.

I used to be a personal pan and salad fan. When I read about all the closings, it made me nostalgic so I did a takeout order. OMG I took two bites. I have no explanation for the second one. It was SMOTHERED in overly sweet sauce and the dough was totally raw. I didn't even try the brown salad. 🗑🚮

I miss the sit down Pizza Hut restaurants. I loved everything from the shape of the building and the decor to the smell of the dough and pizzas baking. The smell when you entered the restaurant was intoxicating 😊

Their franchise management has been atrocious for ages, and they could never decide whether they were competing with Applebees or Panera and wound up lousy at both.

The feeling was good food and a nice atmosphere for a good price. I swear that formula would work in all times but private equity sees a good thing as something they can exploit and milk until it is dead, then move on. Ban private equity, and we as a society could have pizza huts again

If they went back to their old wing recipe, filled a pizza box like they used to, I might eat there again. And yes, they never should have given up the restaurant. But, ya know, private equity is gonna sell them for parts.

Bookmobiles. Hear me out: Millions went to OG Pizza Huts because their kids earned certificates by reading in school. Partner with Dolly Parton and local libraries to put a bookmobile outside PH restaurants as distribution sites for her Imagination Library program, plus functional library branches

Through this weekend and next week, dry, dusty air from the Sahara will blow high above Florida and the Gulf Coast, as well as the Caribbean, creating hazy skies, which may enhance sunrises and sunsets as sunlight filters through the tiny dust particles.

Maybe if they made a higher-quality product, they wouldn't be losing business. Their pizzas were always of such low quality, then they turned to gimmicks like their oil-drenched pan pizza. It was always awful compared to other places.

There is a sit down pizza place near where I moved to last year. It's constantly packed. (Hideaway Pizza) My background is in marketing so keep that in mind, but my guess as to why it's always packed is that the food is actually good.

It used to be a nice place that was affordable and had things that people liked. Now it isn't a place at all, is incredibly expensive for pizza, and has obviously changed recipes to decrease costs at the expense of taste. Why isn't it working though?!?

A: Vacation in the North East. perhaps the Finger Lakes region of NY. B: Visit Geneva and go to Ciccino's where you can order by the slice like a real pizzeria and enjoy. C: Realize why Pizza Hut sucks and has always, sucked 0_o D: Go back to counter and order a Stromboli to go ;-)

Do Book It for adults!! Have people go to their local library or something?? Also bring back the buffets (I know they are still out there but I don’t think there are as many)
