Hello new followers! I've removed the paywall from this piece, which is a chapter from my novel Villager, told entirely in the form of an online village message board. If you like it, you'll probably like the book. If you don't, you probably won't... www.tom-cox.com/the-village-...

This is basically a dollar a book, and each book is more than 150,000 words long. A penny per thousand words is a ridiculously low price point.

True story: One day when I was a child, living on a country lane in Nottinghamshire with my family, not very close to anywhere, there was a knock on the door. My mum answered it, & waiting behind the door was a pantomime horse. Without uttering a word the pantomime horse then turned & trotted away.

Yay! For those who would like to romp through a three-book series set in Glasgow about a sigil agent, his hobgoblin (who humans mistake for a wee sunburnt lad), and a battle seer riding around in a wizard van, it awaits thee. And thank you for reading!

Thank you @kevinhearne.bsky.social for Ink & Sigil, a really fun and addictive read!! Couldn’t put it down for that last 3rd of the book! Cheers!

Absolutely. Why aren't people complaining about ever-lengthening ad breaks on streaming services they pay for, or that Yesteryear book being shoved into everyone's face from every possible app and website, instead of having a go at indie authors for trying to sell another five books per week?

For no real reason I'd like to remind you of this fun book I wrote about a professor, some grad students, and their (maybe) guide who fall into a mysterious land of dinosaurs, Neanderthals, and so much more. There's a gorgeous hardcover, a paperback out this fall, or Ray Porter could read it to you.

He also states, "Even if you don't GURPS, I crammed lots of pure horror-y advice, goodness, and insects into this tome. Check it out on big sale @bundleofholding.com THIS WEEK ONLY (link next post)"

Max Hufnagel@animatedmax.bsky.social

I'm like what I've read from @kennethhite.bsky.social , and he just told me (and everyone else following him here) that his "ultimate word on horror gaming, as first uttered in NIGHTMARES OF MINE, manifests in GURPS HORROR 4E."

As anyone in publishing will tell you, women do not resist reading books by men, but men will often dismiss books by women. This is not a publishing problem or a failure to target men. It's a misogyny problem.
