Needs just one amendment IMO - “…most climate science experts…” should read “…all but an insignificant and discredited minority of climate science experts…”.

Nope... It's DISinformantion. It's deliberate. Misinformation is false information shared without intent to deceive, while disinformation is false information deliberately created and spread to mislead or cause harm. I've been banging on at the Guardian and BBC about this for years.

RNLI volunteers wear yellow suits in order to be visible. The Patriot Platform people who think that RNLI volunteers are traitors wear black in order not to be seen (recognised). The only yellow they wear is the broad stripe that runs down their backs.

Let these images define the Reform Party conference, a woman protester being violently assaulted by a gang of right wing thugs while Nigel Farage laughs and urges them on. Ladies and gentlemen, 'this' is the future under Reform.

This is racism, straight out of the Trump playbook. Reform are trying to turn our great country into a franchise of Trump's America. There are countless British patriots who came here from overseas, many of them refugees we proudly welcomed. That's the kind of country we are.

So, if I understand Nigel Farage's argument correctly it is: "Everyone I trusted and elevated into a position of responsibility is constantly doing crimes that benefit me but of which I somehow have no knowledge. I am a man with the character, judgement, and intelligence to run the country." Ok.

The privatisation of water supply has been a disaster for consumers and the environment. There is no competition and we cannot choose supplier, so the culture is profit above service. Please ask your MP to attend this debate on water ownership. actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-...

🧵On @thenewsagents.co.uk yesterday, school closures and the lab leak theory were offered as two examples of legitimate questions that were hard to ask. Both have in fact been asked constantly since 2020. But here's a thread on why I think they were wrong and dangerous on school closures 1/12

Farage having a strop about not being invited to discuss social care provision, is like Harold Shipman giving out for being excluded from a debate on GP home visits.

Never before has a politician announced their intention to run for re-election on an explicitly pro-sleaze, anti-transparency ticket. Never before has a politician gloried in having enriched themselves by breaking the rules, and then demanded a mandate to continue doing so indefinitely

The Chancellor has the power to stop Farage's cynical ploy. I've written to her this morning urging her to act. Farage should not be allowed to resign until the investigation into his dodgy dealings has concluded. The people of Clacton deserve the facts first.

I’m sure this is well-meant, but if I had just called a by-election after facing allegations of financial impropriety, I’m not absolutely sure the first thing I’d do would be… offering the returning officer thousands of pounds in cash.

Serious questions should be asked as to how the supposedly non-biased BBC can justify airing a broadcast completely operated by Reform UK themselves. Nigel Farage should not been given complete editorial control of what is being aired on our national public service broadcaster.

Mark Grimshaw@markgrimshawtism.bsky.social

I can’t help but think that news organisations, particularly the BBC, should’ve waited to find out the content of Nigel Farage’s speech before choosing to broadcast this nonsense, using an official Reform UK live feed.

Nigel Farage just made his statement on his "future in public life." It amounted to this: it’s a conspiracy, and it’s everyone else’s fault. Yet there’s still no answer to the only question that matters: why did someone on the other side of the world give him £5 million?
