If you're in the UK check out carbonintensity.org.uk It shows real time energy mix for each region But what's really useful is the carbon forecast, which can be used as a price-proxy for day-ahead energy control (battery charging etc.) It's got an API too you can use for automation

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme costs £400m/year. Compare that to the £40bn the Treasury spent propping up bills during the last energy crisis. It’s about 1% of that & it helps get all types of households - including social housing - off the gas that caused the crisis in the first place @gjuk.bsky.social

Told you so. This is what real technology agnostic (instead of German car lobby "agnostic") car developments look like. Truck are coming along also (after a slow start). This will quickly overtake any EU EV mandates (let alone US laggard policies).

MIND-BLOWING STATS: A record two-thirds of new cars in China are now electric (NEVs*), while combustion-car sales have fallen by two-thirds since they peaked in 2017 – In 2020, ~95% of sales were combustion-engine cars – By Sep 2026, they crashed to 33% – On the flip side, NEVs hit a record 67% 🧵

seeing Elon go on a multi-day crashout about Talarico has really highlighted how psychologically devastating it would be to Republicans if they lost Texas. So much of their self-identity is tied to repping Texas as the anti-California and would be shattered if the state even tipped blue.

The irony is the oligarchs helped blue-ify Texas by moving offices there. About 300K net CA-to-TX immigration in 5y is 1.6% of the TX voter pool, which in a close race could be decisive - and that's before you account for the newcomers' influence on neighbors.

You should never argue with a price, but.... The European (EU and UK) gas crisis that has tripled prices this year is not that bad... Storage is at normal levels relative to consumption. So much other evidence in my piece www.ft.com/content/31df...

It's legitimate for the EU, the UK, Canada and others to support their Ukrainian ally. If Musk is going to (in effect) assist Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine's allies should sanction Starlink, X and Tesla. At the very least, governments (and people) should stop using his fucking site already.

Feels like not enough people are aware of how fully cooked the internal combustion engine is. My mum's old diesel Honda currently costs £120 to fill up, on which it'll do just under 300 miles. My sister's EV costs £6 for a full charge which will take her 280 miles.

Trump is creating a pretext to suspend satellite intel again. Or otherwise, to stop Ukraine targeting Russian refineries. Politically, it's a highly risky gambit for Trump, so we can deduce that the refinery strikes are severely hurting Russia.

MAKS 26 👀🇺🇦@maks23.bsky.social

Zelensky offered to stop the strikes if Russia stopped attacking Ukrainian power plants. Trump rejected this condition. Witkoff and Kushner also threatened during the talks that Trump would cut off Ukraine from U.S. intelligence if it continued to ignore his requests to strike the refineries.
