Amazing how many Labour MPs do not understand this quite basic point.

Really worth noting that even in Red Wall constituencies which backed Leave, most *Labour* voters back rejoining the EU. Over 90% of Labour considerers back rejoin - opposition to EU membership is mainly coming from non-Labour voters in these seats. Was on Times Radio yesterday making this point.

Last week I called on the UK Government to mark Black History Month by acknowledging the inhumane crimes that Britain inflicted on African people for centuries, the ongoing impact of those crimes on the Global South, and the need for slavery reparations.

Last year I asked the Foreign Office what meetings took place between some of our British embassies, and staff members for Shell and BP. I was told that information was not available. Thankfully, Adam found out through FOI. So why would the Govt want to conceal those meetings?

It’s time to give renters a break. That’s why I’ve tabled an EDM urging the government to include an emergency brake on private rents in the budget. This measure would save the average private renter in England at least £884 over 3 years. edm.parliament.uk/early-day-mo...

How’s that criminal investigation into Peter Mandelson sharing secret government information with criminals and foreign intelligence agents going, by the way? It’s been a long time and I realise we jettisoned the Prime Minister with minimal fuss, but are we going to pretend, at least.

The government didn’t just approve Jackdaw, they also reiterated their support for so-called tiebacks - a dodge to allow yet more new drilling without new licenses. This deserves almost as much scrutiny as Jackdaw and has got barely any of it, so I raised it in the Chamber.

Bristol Greens call on Labour to Condemn Jackdaw Gas Field Decision Bristol’s Green MP and Councillors have called Bristol Labour MPs and Councillors to publicly condemn the Government's decision to approve the Jackdaw gas field and call for a renewed commitment to tackling the climate emergency.

Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cw...

It’s clear: Labour has lost control of the numbers. The council’s finances haven’t looked this bad in decades. Residents in Brighton & Hove deserve better than being left to pick up the bill for Labour’s mismanagement.

Grotesquely cruel decision. And utterly dehumanising reporting by the BBC. Trans rights are human rights and access to healthcare should be entirely non negotiable.

I have already heard from trans constituents who are avoiding essential NHS screening and treatment for fear of being treated without respect and dignity. Ministers told me: “the revised guidance will support the privacy, dignity and safety of all patients” How exactly does this do that?

Just brilliant to see the new Green administration in Lambeth saving these excellent estates so decisively, after many years of listening and working with residents to defend their homes. When I launched my 2021 Mayor manifesto, Cressingham Gdns was the obvious place to hightlight our values. 💚💚👏👏

Your regular reminder that in 2023 I was asked on Women’s Hour to be interviewed by Emma Barnett about Alice’s inquest. I said no, because Emma is GC, but I’d go on with someone else. They didn’t engage with me after that. The BBC is biased. It’s anti-trans and anti-anyone who supports trans people.

Bethany wore a “Protect The Dolls” t-shirt during rehearsals. The BBC posted it on their socials then quietly deleted and reposted it without showing her from the front. On TV last night they actually blurred the message #Strictly
