E-bike hive member since 2020. Biked to all 81 Chicago Public Library branches as a shitpost. Pro-Chicago til the day I die. Famously said, "What is a bike if not a tool to shitpost with geography as your canvas?"

But a couple hours after I told my parents I got a short email from my dad: I am proud of you! The times are hard. You have stood up for what we all believe in. Now is the time for all of us to look to stand up to the tyranny that is being pushed upon us.

He was on his 🤳 when I caught him at the next light and swears “the lights were blinking.” This almost certainly means they never saw the red light since there’s a pedestrian crosswalk with flashing lights 2 blocks later).

$10 cards? That's like two gallons maybe. I certainly hope your vote is worth more than that. At least Willie Wilson was willing to fill your tank.

"amplify your people" is 100% the best strategy

Rafa Sales Ross@rafiews.com

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

...I am never beating the allegations of "man who has a lot of pictures of his bike" grape costumes work great for kids as well (and are much easier to transport on a cargo bike than in a car seat).

So I have something better in the NYT for you to read than that Marissa Meyer Doing Gender piece. Please read my former roommate Michael's charming piece about how he's dressed as Grapes every year for Halloween for almost twenty years www.nytimes.com/2026/10/25/o...

Don't know where it'll all go, but I DO think we have an opportunity in software to break out of some of these approaches and take a much more dynamic look at our within-team change, within-person change, and learning journeys within orgs. That's pretty exciting to me.

Everyone thought Lula was cooked, hopeless. Then he bought a phone and started posting and now he's gonna get a 4th term. The lesson is to never stop posting.

Today is the day #BikeChi Hoping for a festive parade of folks (adults and kids) on their way to the polls. …an interesting thing about organizing bike rides (at least for me) is that you never know what turnout is going to look like

I don’t know who this “Eriksen” fellow is, but any resemblance between he and myself (whose social media handle also happens celebrates the various misspellings of my surname) are purely coincidental.

"[P]art of the throughline of this ride is we’re going to ride infrastructure that, in some ways, has been made possible by all these kids coming out and participating in the decision-making process in our village,” said Eriksen.

Remember! Just because the dead can’t vote in Cook County anymore doesn’t mean they don’t like being invited along for the ride! Check your tires. Check your judges! Tell your friends! And let’s ride!

Bike Walk Oak Park and @ericksoen.bsky.social is hosting a fun (read: all ages and abilities) bike bus to “Roll to the Polls” for early voting on 10/25 from 1 to 2 PM. The ride will highlight some of the awesome bike/pedestrian infrastructure that’s been installed in Oak Park over the last year!

Emma may not know it yet but she definitely wants us to #BuildTheTunnel so she can ride CrossTowner regional rail instead

Hey so just a heads up, if you take a speakerphone call in a bar you're an asshole. If the call is so loud I can hear it happening over the music in the bar, you're beyond redemption.

Currently engaged in a piece of performance art called “trying to get compensation for a bike I rented to get around at a conference via SAP Concur.” Current sticking points are that I filed under “Rental Car” and a fabric patch on the sales receipt (that I’m excluding from the reimbursed total).

I was out walking the dog and an old lady flagged me down so I popped out my airpod and she said “I just wanted you to know that your dog is allowed to pee in my yard! that’s what the yard is for.” real heroes walk among us.

I don't want to listen to a Confluence page. I want my calendar to get blocked so I can read, understand, and respond (if necessary) to said Confluence page when it's shared with me.

Whose idea was it to call this event “Roll to the Polls” and not “No Kings but Biking”… If you’re a suburban Cook County voter and want to join our bike parade to early voting, we’d love to host you. All ages and abilities so your kids ride too! tracker.oak-park-bikes.com
