TRUMP TODAY: "She wasn't a member of my family. She I guess dated my son a long time ago" TRUMP NOT EVEN 2 YEARS AGO: "Kimberly has been a close friend and ally"

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: On Guilfoyle, she was almost a member of your family. How surprised were you to learn about these allegations? TRUMP: No, she wasn't a member of my family. She I guess dated my son a long time ago.

Truly wild to have lived through moral panics about teenagers wearing hoodies and Muslim women wearing the head dress to now experience 'but is a large group of organised far right activists in balaclavas really that scary'

Suella Braverman on the Today programme adopting Reform’s latest wheeze about the nonexistent “uniparty”. Just watch - if Farage loses ground to Binface it will be because of this latest conspiracy, not because he misjudged his move spectacularly.

Reform have now lost six by-elections in a row in England, Scotland and Wales. Their national poll rating is 26% – below Labour in 1983 – and Farage’s approval rating is -37. They’re very far from the voice of the people and need to stop being treated as such.

The joy today is that hatred lost. Doesn't matter what you think of Burnham. Farage tried to invite a race riot. He dealt in explicitly racial rhetoric. If he'd won, many journalists would have considered it a vindication of his approach and branded our outrage evidence of how out of touch we are.

Well done to the demonstrators who turned out in their masses to counter the far right in Brighton. Good people outnumber these hateful little nobodies and always will.

Goodwin: "I'm not an expert in Tom Stoppard. But to go back to Sunak. I think Rishi Sunak himself - or say Suella Braverman - they may describe themselves as British Asian or British Hindu, but may say "I am not entirely sure I fit a definition of English". But Sunak certainly does not say that.

BREAKING: The Trump Justice Department has expanded the just-announced settlement of Trump's IRS lawsuit to include a pledge that the IRS will no longer pursue *any* claims it may have against Trump, his family members, and his companies over unpaid taxes.

Ok, everyone else across Europe who can’t stand Eurovision, next year everyone vote for Australia en masse. Then all the European Eurovision fans will have to get up in the middle of the night to watch when it’s hosted in Oz.

Welcome to Reform's Farage Camps. A determined attempt to politicise and weaponise migrants with threatening language and behaviour that evokes the worst excesses of tyranny in the 20th century. #FarageCamps

If Starmer does a reshuffle after the local elections it'll be an admission that he's given up on even the pretence of effective government. An awful time to shuffle the pack again and reset everyone's specialist knowledge to zero, just as they're getting a handle on their department.

Senior Tory MP claims knife crime went up by 72% in London. In fact offences fell by 11% in the year to September 2025.

Full Fact@fullfact.org

Conservative MP Esther McVey claimed last week that knife crime in London “is up 72% in a year”. That figure’s not correct, according to police statistics on knife-enabled crime, and we’ve not found any data to support it.

Last night a lot of people will have seen Lawrence Rosenberg grilled by Claude Littner on The Apprentice. I took more of a "listening" approach for the new series of The Near Futurist podcast - if you want to know more about his vision for the future of PR, take a listen: pod.fo/e/3faeec

These guys are obsessed. They spend more time slagging off Britain than they do Iran

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Hegseth: "The president was clear this morning in his Truth that there are countries around the world who ought to be prepared to step up on this critical waterway as well. Last time I checked there was supposed to be a big bad Royal Navy that could be prepared to do things like that."

“I think Iran was probably preparing something”, a line that every time I read it I can feel a braincell going “to hell with this, I’m out” and firing off for the last time.

Yes. If your opening gambit contains - what? - four clauses. you’ve probably overcooked it.

On the one hand Donald Trump is saying Iranian military assets are now obliterated. On the other he is crying out for help from allies who don’t actually support his attack. Why does he need this help after he’s “obliterated” everything?

Almost have to admire Nigel Farage's level of commitment to never spending a weekend in his own actual constituency, at this point.

This couldn’t be clearer. Bannon’s texts to Epstein in mid July 2018 - “overthrowing May right now” and in “London with Boris” as well as his appearance on LBC with Nigel Farage are prettying damning evidence of a cross party plot with foreign backing

Really, Reform UK? THIS is what you're going with? That this man, who served as an MEP next to Nigel Farage for years and was made leader of your party in Wales by current deputy, Richard Tice, is just "one of tens of thousands of people Nigel meets on an annual basis"?~AA

And a rattling good evening it was too. Thanks to all four of you and Miles Jupp for chairing - we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Off to Ally Pally to talk Thick of It with the Thickovites. None of us have changed. Except Rebecca, who’s sold out.

The BBC is still saying that Jimmy Kimmell made comments about Charlie Kirk. He made comments about Trump’s reaction - flags at half mast when there were none even for Carter for example - which is a very different thing. His only comment about the murder expressed sympathy for the family.

Our prime minister in the UK has many faults, he’d probably admit this. He does not, however, claim medical expertise. Please everyone, be a bit more Adam and a bit less Donald.

Trump says babies should have vaccinations spaced out over several years. Children will die because of this disinformation. Many childhood vaccines protect against diseases that are most dangerous in early life. Doses spread over years will cause delayed/reduced protection for the child & others.
