This is NOT an ad for @alexgibneyfilm.bsky.social’s new documentary “MUSK” (in theaters now). We are promoting it for free. Join us right here on October 20, 2026 at 9am Pacific/noon Eastern for a livestream hosted by @niedermeyer.online.
Huge special thanks to @bsky.app for partnering with me on the October 20 stream with @alexgibneyfilm.bsky.social! All of my ETTW livestreams are exclusive to the AT Protocol, for reasons that we will very much be discussing throughout the various conversations. Recordings will be available later.

many states, including California, also have an option to drop your ballot off directly at a elections office dropbox or election center and avoid USPS on the way back all together, which I'd recommend if possible.
If your state votes by mail, put your ballot in a mailbox AT the post office. Dont send it like regular mail. It's TOO IMPORTANT

Need to start making a list of people who want these in their neighborhoods. He can be first on it.
Rep. Rich McCormick claims of data centers that "people are scared of things that they don't even realize aren't reality. They're not loud, they're not hot, they're not consuming ... it's gonna be really good for the economy."

One of the things we have lost is the power to shame public officials. It seems quaint but it is actually very important. Without it, formal law is significantly weaker and our lives are significantly poorer. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/26/u...

It's an odd thing to say of a politician, but Jeffries has no ambition. He's an NYC machine flunky who got tapped by Pelosi to lead the Dems because her no. 1 choice lost a primary. This is as good as it's gonna get for him. He has no vision for the party or America. He's just defending his turf.
The problem with Jeffries is that he has a combativeness toward DSA that stems from NYC political fights. He views them as a threat rather than as one pole in a big tent because he is constantly backing opposing candidates locally.

The Supreme Court's decision in the Temporary Protected Status case proves the Supreme Court *is* racist. They don't merely affirm Trump's racism, they endorse it. And while that's not "news" for anyone paying attention, it's still outrageous. My latest in @thenation.com
