CSS is so powerful now, it's amazing looking through older CSS and seeing what can be replaced with a one-liner. I'm on the hunt for snippets that used to be multiple lines of CSS that can now be done in one. Show me what you got!

I extended my experimentation with the CSS holographic effects, now with 7 new images and gradients ✨ The effect doesn't work on iOS Safari, so I've attached a video too 😊 #CSS

This talk by @bell.bz is gold imo As a freelancer, you're expected to slot into an organisation and keep things moving with minimal friction. Keeping your head down and plowing through will only get you so far though and, to do great work, you have to prioritise planning & communication over coding

rem / Remy Sharp @remysharp.com

Next as part of our "every Monday" (assuming that Monday is any day of the week) on the #FFConf video release, @bell.bz speaks about communication. Andy does a great job of contrasting exchanges that can be tweaked from horrible & lazy, to, well, not crap: youtu.be/tHtFiciT2tQ?...

Big lad has captured the exact thousand yard stare I had when I still worked in an office

I sometimes thinking about this Canon ad with Godzilla at a copy machine when I’m feeling sad

Got up early to get things done, then spent that time searching for the source of an error that wasn't there yesterday, and that of course I introduced myself first thing. Should have just stayed in bed

My phone broke and now I have forever lost the 100+ browser tabs I had kept open "for later". The upside: now I can finally start all over again

o, and what unutterable joy it is to build a Website! to spiral with arms outstretched in the technicolor fields of figma, casting rectangles and text boxes, rounding corners and corners again

Had some time this morning, so I went and finally read all of the #HTMHellAdventCalendar entries available. So many small and valuable knowledge pieces, thank you @matuzo.at for collecting them again. Looking forward to the 24th!

With e-invoicing becoming mandatory in the EU next year, I'm currently building a small invoice and customer manager with Eleventy - I've never enjoyed writing invoices more! I'll make sure to share my learnings in an article next year.

I'm at an event watching a screen reader user and dev navigate an Austrian online shop (billa.at) and explain how they order groceries online. My main takeaways: - proper headings and landmarks are essential for navigation - skip links are super useful 1/2

This article by @ericwbailey.website on @piccalil.li is incredibly useful. It’s exactly how I prefer CSS articles to be written: starting with a problem, including clear illustrations, and offers a practical solution. Highly recommended 💯 piccalil.li/blog/making-...

piccalil.liMaking content-aware components using CSS :has(), grid, and quantity queriesEric Bailey teaches us how to make a hyper-resilient component that responds not only to the container, but other languages too.

You are up to date.
