I went peepee in the potty today. Aced it. There was a sink and a tub and a trash can but I didn’t peepee in any of those. I used the potty. The part where you should lift the seat cover first is very easy. They say “which part do you pee in?” And I say “the water part.”

Trump: "I took three cognitive tests. Aced all of them, by the way. I'm the only president to take a cognitive test. I don't think Obama could pass it. The first question is very easy -- it's a lion, a giraffe, a bear, and a shark. They say, 'Which one is the bear?'"

As a thought experiment imagine if we went to war without considering the most blindingly obvious complications.

Stephen Miller: "As a thought experiment, imagine if this regime had nuclear weapons, instead had long-range missiles that could reach an American city ... think about what a terror that would be"

VARGAS: I mean, 9 months ago Trump said we 'obliterated' Iran's nuclear threat, and now we're back bombing again FETTERMAN: That was semantics

When Trump came to power, he ripped up the peace deal that Obama had made, and used the uncertainty he created as an excuse to bomb Iran, insisting he had ended the problem he had created once and for all, except now he's bombing them again to solve the problem he created and previously solved?

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

Wrote about him in TNR, prior to Renee Good. Remarkably similar incident. He’d just dropped off his kid. They rushed his car. He tried to flee. Cops then claimed he tried to run them over, despite video evidence to the contrary. Should’ve been a warning.

Completely agree with @miawong.bsky.social here. There were multiple videos out of Villegas Gonzalez’s murder the same day he was killed that contradicted ICE’s claims. bsky.app/profile/gbro...

Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."

the biggest lesson from the emails today is that powerful people are so unafraid of consequences for crimes as bad as “raping children” that they will just talk about it openly in emails the only path to a better society is one where that is no longer true

If federal Democrats simply said that they won’t be cowed little sycophants and let Trump do whatever he wants because that’s the actual fucking job that they’ve been hired for—and Republicans won’t do theirs because they’re weak and useless, so many people would be energized behind them

The correct response to this is not to attack Trump or his cronies (they know what they’re doing), but GOP Reps and Senators for being sniveling little cowards and pieces of shit who won’t do their goddamn jobs and love licking Trump’s feet and getting publicly degraded while looting the Treasury

What I’ll remember most about this dark time isn’t the stupidity, or the astonishing dishonesty and lack of integrity, or even the disgusting cruelty, it’ll be that those most able to resist (billionaires, high powered lawyers, etc) were the first to bend the knee
