If you're angry about the men at Cornell University, wait until I tell you about the men in the White House, the Pentagon, health and human services, and on the Supreme Court.

WARNING: The Ellison family is about to own CBS News AND CNN. A judge just cleared the deal. Closing: days away. When one family controls what tens of millions watch, democracy loses a watchdog. Independent media isn't a luxury. It's your last line of defense.

If the judge rules in the landlords' favor, his decision could upend the rent freeze for around 2 million New Yorkers who live in rent-stabilized apartments—and knock down one of Mamdani's key achievements. But it's not the RGB's first rodeo. hellgatenyc.com/rent-freeze-...

hellgatenyc.comThe Rent Freeze Starts Thursday. Landlords Think a Search of Mamdani's Texts Could Overturn ItThe landlords allege the rent freeze was predetermined by the mayor and his allies, and are asking the judge to nullify it.

All I can think of when I see him is an angry little drunk trying so hard to be tough and strong and masculine. He literally makes me sick to my stomach.

it didn't even occur to me that the government might try to execute someone a second time if they torture the person but fail to kill them during a first botched attempt. truly grotesque and a moral stain upon all involved.

Why do people make the "young men shouldn't have their lives ruined by being identified as rapists" argument but never the "young men shouldn't have their lives ruined by being identified as murderers" argument? Misogyny.

Subverting democracy isn't new to John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, or Amy Coney Barrett. All three were on George W. Bush's "Florida Recount Team," which lay the groundwork for stopping vote counting in Florida—and Bush v. Gore, the politically-motivated SCOTUS decision that gave Bush the election.

Man, imagine you're minding your own business, getting kind of drunk with your friends at a picturesque brewery in Maine, when suddenly John Roberts walks by and you get to start heckling him. Must have felt incredible. That's the dream. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/01/u...

This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now. He got away, and they never relocated him.

Three years ago, the Free Beacon ironically named me man of the year on their website. "Don’t give up Ben, you have a whole lot of nothing to look forward to," they wrote. This year, I was on a TIME100 list. I would take this moment to tell them how they can suck me: from the back. Thank you.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Todd Blanche now says "one-sided news" is a national security threat worth barring the press over. That's not a legal standard. It's a viewpoint test. I didn’t go to law school…and didn’t need to, to know that the First Amendment exists to STOP government from judging which coverage is balanced.

The orange felon went to Tennessee today to see a football game on taxpayer dime and Tennessee lost. His death curse continues unobstructed.

Watching NFL football and just saw a straight up propaganda advertisement paid for by the US Government. I hate this timeline.

This is true. In 2016, I got into an argument with a gay man on a menswear forum. I've since made it my mission to make every man dress gay, thereby destroying his ability to tell who is actually gay and, ultimately, his chances of finding love. I built my social media following to achieve that goal

No logic to what Blanche is saying. There is only a national security issue if the press reports ACCURATELY. Reporting inaccurate information doesn't give our enemies insight into our genuine vulnerabilities. It just wastes their time.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Blanche: "What [the press] say is exactly the issue when it comes to national security." Raddatz: "Give us an example." Blanche: "Wait, I'm sorry, give you an example of when CNN doesn't report accurately? You cannot be asking me that."

Bluesky has got to be the quietest social network I've ever used. I don't get much engagement here, but I always find something interesting, often intellectually engaging, and occasionally something soulful. Unlearning my social media expectations might be the whole ball game.

It's too depressing and obnoxious to write about, but virtually all of the doomy/horny AI hyperventilating is transparently displaced anxiety about our fucked climate and political situation. Even rich idiots know it's bad and being permitted to get worse. They're trying to write their own ending.

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

You are up to date.
