ngl i do actually want to have a local llm comb through (a copy of) my /etc and home config because it'd be way faster than going through manually but like you said, not unique to this entryist garbage

It has neither GPU support nor a network stack, and is even written in a bespoke language used nowhere else, so that would be very difficult even with heavy vibe coding

i feel like most people interpreted my reply as "run an agent on TempleOS" but i honest to god meant "get an agent to configure/customize TempleOS"

> Omarchy ships with the latest gcc compiler out of the box so does upstream Arch? and Fedora? and probably openSUSE? this isn't the selling point bro thinks it is 😭

malleable is a word i have only started hearing in the context of ai generated projects to the point where i already assume its an ai project as soon as i read that word

Idk didnt really want to step on anyones feet, which i did seemingly 😵‍💫 Was just something i noticed but now i atleast got another example to purge the association i developed

well you are severing one of the best most amazing bits of computing memetic material on the planet from your mind and i don't recommend that but you do you. easier for me not to self-enmiserate because i just haven't seen those two linked a lot yet too, so there's that.

> best most amazing bits of computing memetic material please share what you mean by that because i dont get it 😅

The quoted post is even worse, lmfao. Like, wow! The latest version of gcc! As if installing the latest version of gcc hasn't been a solved problem in the Linux world for a quarter of a century...

imagine if dhh didn't hate the nix community. it would be the same thing... but with nix. pretty easy to imagine I guess. not really worth a post. oh well

actually the last time I tried to have claude fix a nix config issue it really beefed it and I didn't feel like throwing the LLM on my back and carrying it across the finish line. also not worth a post. scratching my chest, considering a nap. follow for updates

Ya there’s an interesting co-option playing out 🧐

The idea that LLMs are bringing forth a new age of malleability, particularly through vibe coding, is a co-option of what malleability has historically meant. It achieves similar surface characteristics without the restructuring of power and literacy historically EUP advocates aimed to challenge.

what makes me feel even more insane is that you can also do this on Mac and windows

X dot com the everything app seems to be a bit slow on the uptake lately bsky.app/profile/snep...

administration of a Linux system is done by editing text files, since pretty much all settings of the system are a defined in some text file. this quirk has, by accident, turned into a UX superpower in the age of text-based AIs, which will fix your problem... by asking it to do so.
