Canada fronted the money for the bridge and will collect tolls on the Canadian side to pay of the debt.

If you have driven over the Ambassador Bridge lately, it desperately needs repairs. Maintenance has not been done. I cringe anytime I drive over thinking it could collapse. The only thing holding it together is rust.
