Bovino advanced all the way to within eyesight of Paisley Park, but his supply lines were stretched too thin and ultimately his frozen troops were encircled by Will Stancil and wine moms with whistles

They also pissed off the people they didn't want to piss off: bsky.app/profile/phoe...

The MN GOP, with Lisa Demuth & Tom Emmer in the vanguard, invited Stephen Miller to tell Puppykiller Noem to send their ICE & CBP goons to Minnesota in the belief that it would please outstate MAGAs enough to get them to vote in the midterms. But most outstate Minnesotans don't like it either.

You think the Wine Moms would be louder upon approach, but they are a stealthy bunch. Not the Chardonnay Moms… they are used to distract and confuse the enemies.

I would give ten grand to the Kickstarter where Ken Burns and the Documentary Now! team team up to capture this insanity. 'Enemy at the Gates' but ICE in Minnesota (I mean, the irony is right there in the title...).

It’s a Twitter-brained Napoleon-in-Russia parody: Bovino is a stand-in for an overconfident online contrarian marching into Minneapolis discourse, Paisley Park is shorthand for the city’s liberal cultural core, and the punchline is that his hot takes outran reality—leaving him frozen, isolated,

just showed and explained this visual to co workers yesterday in hopes of inspiring to make their data visualizations half as interesting but significantly less morbid.

I was thinking of the winter when George Washington and his men almost froze to death at Valley Forge, but WW2 I am good with too.

Wine moms in this context is demeaning. Define them by the actions they take, not what comes out of their birth canals. Ditto @thebulwark.com whose headline refers to Virginia politician Louise Lucas as an 82 year old grandmother and not a woman with a 40 year career in local & state government

"Invading A Northern Nation in the Winter. A Look At Historic Failures," by Charles XII of Sweden; Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolph Hitler. Perspective from men who have been there, done that. Soon to come: an appendix, penned by Tom Homan and Dan Bongino. Two more men who have been there, done that.

You really can't compare Bovino's actions in Minneapolis to Hitler's failure at Stalingrad. Bovino's too tall. It's more like Napoleon arriving in Moscow and finding it abandoned, then having to retreat in the dead of winter while all his soldiers die of cold and lice-borne disease.

If only he hadn’t fruitlessly marched his Incels barefaced 12 miles for the coat factory just over the St. Paul line, owing to it being rumored to carry Nazi outerwear in children’s sizes… if for that he might not have faltered. 🏭

We literally compromised our position (sanctuary) and they have not promised that they will stop brutalizing and abducting our neighbors, kidnapping and transporting them out of state, and finally deporting them.
