Trump: "Almost anything my kids do -- if they buy a truck -- they have inside information"

he literally put them in positions where this could be the case. yes. this is what happens when you nepotistically put your kids in positions they shouldn't have.......

When is the last time this asshole family "bought" anything? Grift yes, bought no... I put the over/under on how many times in his life trump went to a grocery store to buy anything (excluding self-promos) at maybe 2 times.

Why did he say, "if they buy a truck"? He's pulling that from some disjoined fact in his deteriorating brain. What are they doing with trucks?

He’s acting like they’re overhearing him talk around the family dinner table and not that they are middle-aged adults living in other cities that he specifically calls up solely to give them non-public information to make money from.

They shouldn't even have to prosecute the more minor stuff like this though, there's death penalty charges out there if they look for them and then the rest takes care of itself

The public doesn't understand how these people operate. This is why every book club in the U.S. shd read @mkonnikova.bsky.social 's The Confidence Game, a history of con artists. Also Babiak's Snakes in Suits. And Hoffer's classic The True Believer And @brianklaas.bsky.social 's book

And to that filthy scumbag, that's something to brag about. Anyone wonders why he has pardoned so many thieves and other scoundrels? Because trump doesn't see anything wrong in stealing money from other people. He thinks it's his right.

I really never fathomed we could be at a point where the president of the United States would be committing crimes on a daily basis and nothing would be done about it. Beyond belief.

how come they have all this inside information? who tells them? and sure he tells them to stay away, he doesn't set up meetings for them with foreign leaders and sends them on errands in his behalf, he'd never do this!

Doesn't anyone remember that Martha Stewart went to prison for insider trading? It's bizarre that GOPers are not appalled by Trump's corruption.

I'm sure he followed it up with "But what about a military drone manufacturer?" this isnt a normal purchase for someone in real estate Trump bought $5M in Axon stock then 2 weeks later ICE posted seeking $220M contract to quadruple it's tasers why dont journalists go armed with these follow ups?

Like buying an interest in a tungsten company days before a US agreement on a tungsten quarry. Because they happen to be lifelong rare earth investors. Or investing in a drone company who then happens to get a gov contract to make drones. This stuff just happens.
