For example, what I’m proposing does allow these people to live out their lives in prison. There is a very plausible grassroots alternative solution that is not that.

If regular people see rich and powerful assholes thrown in jail, that will clearly send the message that all criminals will face consequences and make them think twice about crime. Dems need to "Get tough on (white collar) crime."

Combat troops were disgusted, the former inmates had a lot of grievances, one or the other killed them. Either the troops did it, or they watched while the former inmates did. We need to make people afraid of being found with this much wealth.

I'm not a fan of carceral systems, either, but at the very least it would certainly expose these losers for what they are without their wealth - pathetic, sniveling sociopaths that nobody actually likes or cares about.

Put them in cells with 24hr video feeds of formerly unhoused people living in their homes & their yachts turned into floating aid brigades
