What is “hard left”? If it’s some1 wanting ALL public services in th hands of th public & not in the hands of private spivs. All public services properly funded, climate change at th top of the menu, th redistribution of wealth, corporations out of our politics and on and on. Then I am “hard left”.

Hard left, aye right pal. The principles of Green Politics have always been hard left in the eyes of hard capitalists.

"hard left"! The MSM in the UK is a joke, utter rubbish. The ft will now be lining my cats litter tray along with the telegraph and daily mail.

It hasn't drifted anywhere. The GPEW has always recognised that climate justice is incomplete without social, racial, and economic justice. What is the hard left, by the way?

Ridiculous. Anything challenging corporate power is considered extreme, while making poor people poorer and destroying the systems on which all life depends, just to make yourself richer, is considered normal and sensible.

It's quite something to see the press pivot to demand that specific political parties abandon the pursuit of more votes in favour of ideological purity. Quite the change.

At best the Green party is a post-WWIII settlement mixed economy party with modern human rights and equality trimmings. Any old school One Nation Tory or Wilsonite wouldn't feel too out of place. This is hardly "hard left". It just shows up how radicalised the once sensible FT has become.

how the British establishment lost contact with reality by building an ideological bubble that allows them to think that nothing has meaningfully changed in politics since 1688

Haha! You people churn out this and recycle the same rubbish over and over, do you really think people are going to fall for any more? Sorry not sorry the Green party isn't the nice cozy, easy and irrelevant pushover they once were.

I think you’ll find it’s Labour, who are indulging far right racists and punching down on vulnerable people, who are the “nastier” party. The FT is calling anything to the left of Theresa May “hard left”. Clowns.

“Lost” Actually the greens were lost in irrelevance until Zack helped make the worldview whole. Enviro movements are notoriously cishet & racist, so Zack actually helped the left find itself and it’s clear all your mainstream media feel threatened it’s v nice to watch ye capitalists writhe.

No they didn't. However the Financial Times are a hard-right magazine. So... why would we listen to a right-wing magazine that is run by supporters of the military industrial complex and corrupt financial institutions? You are the people and systems we want to see disbanded and dismantled.

You have no idea what 'left' means. I'll vote Green as I know soc-dem policies make life better for people, but I see it as voting for a pro-capitalist party. I do not support this position. There are millions like me. Just because you and your media mates ignore us, it doesn't mean we don't exist.

The centrists to the right to the far right are doing fuck all about climate change. The Greens are only labeled "far left" for recognising that a greener planet is only going to come hand in hand with getting over the fallacy of infinite growth which is killing the planet.

It's apparently "hard left" when you want better living conditions for the majority of the nation rather than like 10 blokes. Take your centrist pearl clutching and fk right off.

Greens as an environmentalist party: "They're too focused on one issue, no one can take them seriously" Greens as a party with a broad political agenda beyond environmentalism: "They've lost their focus, no one can take them seriously" It's a bad faith argument
