Have you heard about the plans they have for their mega-scale ai datacenters? They're to be hated.

They weren't as big as AI ("hyperscale") data centers, they weren't rushed out so quickly that they outpaced the existing power plants, nor were the powers that be diverting the entire economy towards building them out. They were built in proportion to the need for actually useful services.

GenAI (clearly not real AI) has certainly accelerated it, though, and added extra features to it, such as killing the supply of consumer electronics components. But that's complementary, not core.

Oh no how dare us hate large buildings that take all the local water, have a loud buzzing noise that effects mental health, and is rerouting electricity away from residential areas. Have you even seen any of the reports? It's not just because of AI.

It's not just in the USA these parasites are despised - it's throughout the world. The younger generations are trying to find ways to cut them out of the future - hence the ever tightening grip on power - their days are numbered if the people of the world have a say (which they don't, for now)
