it's a little unfair to use Backrooms to illustrate this because Kane Parsons is on the record as being against the use of AI in filmmaking.

They built the fuckin thing to replace me in every aspect of meaningful human action but they can't ask it to be nice to them if they need that? Us liking them is the last human derived good?

fuck off Everything Everywhere All at Once A24,i belive A24 is like the underdogs in hollywood making good movies using good ideas from dust but now.....A24 is just another one in hollywood ?

"Shin considers this partnership a bit of a necessary evil. “We’d rather have a seat at the table than on the sidelines,” she stated." And thusly earned that seat on the sidelines.

Hell, I'd settle for them backing out of the deal and buying me lobster enchiladas at Freddy's in Old Town San Diego. Airfare's in them, of course.

Sigh, and here I thought the backrooms was an allegory on how distorted and wrong ai becomes Just making copies of itself that get progressively worse until you're left with yellowing nonsense Like describing an office room to someone who's never seen one then asking them to draw it.

Any time a company is like "we didn't expect the backlash to our decision" I always feel like either a) then you shouldn't be running a business because it was incredibly obvious to the rest of us or b) yes you did you just don't care and wish we would shut up about it because oh my god money.

Why should we? This is beyond dangerous technology we're dealing with here. If you're a company and you have the gull to ask us to be "nice" about AI, you're not just shooting yourselves in the foot, you're literally just demanding us to be oblivious. We humans are many things, but we're NOT that.

That's hilarious. We're going to steal your stuff, drink your water, use your power, burn the planet and lay off all our staff... in order to make complete garbage. But what do mean you're not happy?!
