Softbank selling Nvidia stock so they can invest in OpenAI so that OpenAI can buy Nvidia gpus so that Nvidia can invest in OpenAI so that OpenAI can buy Nvidia gpus so that etc ad nauseum very normal economic activity :^)

Really feels like they might've actually picked the top of the market to sell at here. Seems to me we're at the start of the crash now given how the markets have turned downwards the past few days and we have a lot of economic issues that are rapidly becoming major problems.

That already happened and it is always a good indicator that things are bad that the algo pics up on. My feed got quite a lot of struggle meals recommended since 2ish weeks. Water Pie gotta be the most telling one of how bad it got again for a lot of people. 💀

I don't know if people realize how bad it's going to get. I say that not to be a doomsayer but for people to do 2 things. 1st of all, prepare. Build your network of support now with people you can trust and count on. 2nd stay involved and LOUD and get others involved, maybe we can get out of this yet

Check out Kiki Rough! She's great! She came up on my shorts feed when the shutdown started, HA! Honestly I'm panicking about food so learning new ways of stretching more common, inexpensive ingredients helps the anxiety.

My Instagram feed is already pushing those. I saw an influencer promoting a recipe for something along the lines of “water bread” and I’m like oh good we’re cooked

Great depression meals are why the new deal passed. People can only eat so many boots before they decide it's time to skin everyone above a certain income. Rich people nowadays are too stupid to realize this so we're not gonna get something like the new deal.

Not even joking, but pretty much all traditional Italian American dishes are depression era food. Pasta with sauce is a basic as it gets. Escarole and beans soup is straight up “please sir, may I have some more?” level shit.

The next great depression will manifest as a series of struggle meals viewed through phones with footage that gets closer and closer to what you’re currently eating until you’re the one filming it.

Oh there's already an obscene viewership on youtube for world war ii era cuisine and campbells cookbook recipes. Shit is going to get much worse and nobody genuinely doubts it.

To think we get roasted for beans on toast. Good cheap meal that. Though, students will have their time to shine. When I was a student I discovered baked beans also goes with rice and with pasta.

I have a great carrot casserole that my scottish grandma passed down that’s just shredded carrots and a can of celery soup with some bread crumbs and butter on top. Costs about $5.
