If every single adult American paid $4,000 a year to the debt, it wouldn’t pay the interest on the debt. If we taxed every American household in the top 0.1% of wealth in America (about $50 million in assets) and taxed then 5% of their wealth each year, it’d begin to pay down the debt.

Last year, the south of Brazil was flooded and immediately the state government provided a Pix code for people to send donations. Immediately, pirate accounts arose trying to capture that free money. Made the day of scammers.

Well, we know this administration loves scammers so maybe this was done so that scammers could scam even more money to send directly to Trump or one of his overseas buddies.

Always a good idea to pull $35T out of the private economy to lower another federal number. It’s going to be amazing and unbelievable when $35Tbis no longer in the global economy So Much Winning In The Stupidest Time

I found a group of people that CAN and SHOULD pay this: "The wealthiest 1% of Americans hold a significant and growing share of the nation's wealth. Specifically, as of late 2022, the top 1% controlled $43.45 trillion in wealth." It's 2025. They have more now.

I actually don't understand this? I think everyone is in favour of the government paying off debts, if someone wants to help that's chill, this is an entirely optional unimportant process.

Hmmm. Let’s see. I pay taxes and the 6X bankrupt looser has been spending gobs of money on ICE, giving his pretend buddies tax breaks, painting the White House gold, etc. etc. etc. The US Treasury Department can send a bill to every one of those incompetent MFs that kiss Trump’s ass.

Isn't the national debt just the money floating around in the economy? Like if it was paid down there would be no money in any pockets or accounts and the whole house of cards would collapse right?

I find it very troubling that people in charge at Treasury right now don't seem to understand the free rider problem and why we have taxes in the first place. Very few people would pay them voluntarily if they could still use services. That's how we ended up $36+ trillion in debt in the first place.

Absolutly, by way of others. Most extremely profitable people don't carry money on them. They have people to pay and receive their money. You cannot rob a rich person in person. They only carry a phone...And some have a shadow who carries a gun.

No f’ng way I’d give more💰 to pay off debt incurred to reduce taxes on the wealthiest as Bezos flaunts a $50 M wedding, “Dr” Oz can shop for crudités, the felonious grifter can travel to Scotland to open another golf course.. www.wkyc.com/article/news...
