Post

You know, back in my day we used to have a "turbo" button on the front of the case, have you tried that yet?

So… em… about the edit feature…

Keeping the peace is hard. ✌️☮️🕊️

Have the servers unionized yet?

They demand more memory and space for skeets.

Curious why status.bsky.app did not reflect these ongoing negotiations...

The more you tighten your grip, Paul, the more servers will slip through your fingers

Screenshotting this for the next time I have to summarize an incident

So no divorce? Cool

Love how open you guys are about errors, issues etc, like may it continue 👍🙏

Have you tried shameless flattery? I hear that they are vain and respond to that.

The gods have looked upon you with favor.

glad you worked it out with the servers

Just wait until they unionize

Doing a great job. I have a question. Words & phrases are easy to filter out. How do I block all nudies? Too many accounts, don’t feel like going through all & creating lists.

The servers, in the meantime

Good diplomacy wins the day. Again.

Peace huh? I say we hit em hard No mercy

Change their job title while you're at it. If I was called server I'd be miffed as well.

Did you turn them off and then on again?

See, I thought this was about a restaurant. Glad to see lunch is back on 👍

I hope they apologised to you for making you worry

Be sure to pray to the Omnissiah

Do the servers need a human sacrifice? I have a suggestion.

Sometimes they just want Skittles

Are they unionized yet

get the internet witches on standby

time to rise a bigger army of servers to face the incoming hordes.

Have they tried unplugging it and then plugging it in again?

Do you run your own DC?

Have you tried taking work from home away. I hear that's a neat trick to quell workers

I'm willing to supply a chicken for the server gods for a month of smooth operations. Oh wait!! Change that... I've got a bucket of chicken bones to appease the server gods

Use my blood to appease the silicon overlords

which of you 20 is getting thrown into the volcano?

kITty support standing by

Can we fight?

Just reboot! It’ll fix itself!

Have fun storming the data center!

Got a virgin on staff?

Lotza freezn

Offer Kuba Suder and the gods will be pleased

This thread is everything! 🔥 📌

At first I thought you were in a restaurant 😊

I'm not a smart man, but is there any way ya'll could vampire off somebody else's servers somehow? If that makes any sense.

Switch a random one off without doing a proper shutdown. That'll show the servers who's boss! 😀

What do they want? The 4-day-week? The 24h-week? Paid leave if infected by virus?

I was thinking my waiter friends

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Let me know if you're hiring incident managers!

you must appease the machine spirits

This is why you should go serverless *ba dum tish*

You may need to sacrifice a virgin, so any member of your IT staff should do.

Did anybody check on the guy that turns the crank to keep the generator for the Apple IIe server running?

ehm. that solution wont scale for me.

if you need a blood sacrifice I've got a few ideas & potential candidates lemme know

Paul walking into the server room like:

I believe in the servers

Took me a minute to understand the context. For a glorious moment I thought we were finally unionizing the service industry. 🙏

I volunteer to serve as the "virgin" offering to the server gods!

Have you tried blood?

An offering to appease and quell the Machine Spirit is required. I recommend incense, an Enginseer and if no luck, threaten it with tales of the Fabricator General.

you mean sacrifice?

Blue sky team dancing around the servers to ward off evil spirits

What will you use in place of the old Fail Whale??

Have you tried giving them a parade?

THEY WANT FREE PIZZA

Cookies, try cookies. No one can resist them fresh and hot straight from the browser.

Thanks for your hard work. 💙

Obrigada amiga

omg give them whatever they want

So are y'all running your own data centers or using services such as AWS or GCP?

Please identify specific restaurants so I can make appropriate weekend plans. Thank you.

Exactly!

Is it because of influx of users?

Have you tried flipping the servers upside down so that it’s set to wumbo?

Following based on this amazing post

If they run Linux or Unix I found that dark chocolate helped.

Lol, this is no rebellion. I'm just saying hi

Paul: server, please comply Server: I'm sorry, Paul, I'm afraid I cannot do that

for the love of all things good please fix the cat feed!

Servers right now

@pfrazee.com Hopefully not a blood sacrifice to appease the angry server gods

I look forward to our mushroom overlords ...they seem like a fun guy

Time for the midnight chicken sacrifice on a sacred rock?

An offer of monster and ruffles queso flavor to appease the servers AND the devs.

Yea have noticed that, have lit the Nag champa incense offering to the server gods and Goddesses all will be well.

Thanks for all your hard work building this community.

"No upstream server" is the new "taking a coffee break".

Such is the life of a distributed app that has a sudden influx of users.

Hopefully the machine gods bless your sacrifices. <3

Hopefully the network gods can resolve this

Pesky little bastards.

Servers where?

Ok, this is funny😆

Try offering it some Mac n cheese.

Thanks Paul for the update!

Intern: *sweating*

Blueskynet

Are they hungry? do they need a Snickers?

For a second there, i thought you were talking about the restaurant servers and I was like "fair".

The Taiwanese have experience with this! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuai_Ku...

Should you ever need ideas, equipment or general customer service with your sacrifice to whatever god/gods/goddesses/demons etc you need to appease #NAFO has a well equipped repository located on the (redacted) sub basement at (redacted) HQ plus many members well versed in various rituals

Could I suggest a human sacrifice? Elon Musk is worthy....

Hail the machine god

Sacrifice the cat.

Seems to be hitting custom feeds

And My Chicken

I always used to say during my dev days that were approaching chicken sacrifice territory.

Does it require a sacrifice

I told you they wanted BBQ… 😀

This earned you a follow without knowing a damn thing about you because I’ve ran IT departments for decades and appreciate the whimsical attitude lol

Yup. Saw my first outage this evening. Which is pretty impressive given the growth.

Good job guys:)

Tiles are more reliable than servers

Have you tried nibbling them affectionately?

Servers have better revolutionary praxis than Americans smh.

what must be happening rn
