RFK talks about autistic and Arabic people the exact same way. He assumes they are not capable of ordinary or extraordinary achievements because of who they are. He considers them sub-human because they are not like him. This makes it plain that his is a white supremacist eugenicist project.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Lowering costs means it will make well operators and owners more money not that it will lower what consumers pay.

Trump is set to unveil a plan to dial back federal requirements designed to slash methane emissions from oil and gas operations, casting the proposal as a way to encourage more domestic energy production and lower costs.

For the fabulously wealthy, paying taxes is pretty much optional. They can borrow against their vast wealth, which is mostly an untaxed capital gain, without paying taxes. When they die, the capital gain goes to zero. And loopholes exist to bypass the estate tax too.

Is it normal for an anonymous Wyoming LLC that sent mass mailers impersonating a transgender advocacy group to hire the lawyer who defended TX Attorney General Ken Paxton from impeachment in response to a court filing seeking to depose people who could unmask the LLC's owners

New from me: The US has faced a higher cost than any other country from the global Hormuz oil shock, with the crisis adding $160 billion to its fuel bill — or $471 per person on average — despite being the world’s largest oil producer.

There is a massive political/strategic opportunity right now. * Being against datacenters is the most popular political position in the entire country right now. * Data center capacity is also the Achilles Heal of the AI technofascist oligarchs right now.

This is a slam dunk as an EO, it falls squarely under the kinds of powers SCOTUS has ceded to the Executive branch over the years. The impact on people like Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Thiel would be immediate and severe. It would rock the stocks broadly; all the more reason to do it on Day 1.

That's all assuming the bubble hasn't catastrophically popped or somehow otherwise deflated by then, which is a big assumption, of course.

We know that they are stressing the electrical grid, have real environmental impact, and are almost universally opposed by local communities. There is ample justification for a Federal moratorium on all DC projects, while regulatory issues are studied (and regulatory agencies are rebuilt).

No offense, but I feel like there are way too many smart people wasting mental bandwidth pointing out the specific ways in which Yglesias is wrong. Of course he is wrong, that’s his whole thing.

Coming to terms with voting for my Centrist Democrat POS House rep. I’d rather vote to fire her into the sun, but the Republican ghoul she is running against is so much worse.

The USA’s failure to punish Trump for Jan 6th was just an historic betrayal of global democracy. What a shameful, abject and total failure of institutions and civil society.

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good. I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

It's the lead story on the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. www.dispatch.com/videos/news/... Basically: "Trump doesn't get it, acts like a dick"

Total respect for NBC's Monica Alba, who asked Trump exactly the question he needs to answer. By refusing to answer, and attacking her, he has effectively told the world that no, sexual abuse allegations do no mean a thing to him. Imagine if she wasn't there. We'd be the poorer for it.

The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.

Trump: "You know, the first question -- they have a lion, a snake, a giraffe, and a bear. And they say 'which is the snake?' ... by the time you get to number five a lot of people are left out on the road ... I get no credit for it."

Our back yard isn’t fenced in and backs up to a green belt with an active creek. I put up deer fencing years ago but it is mostly gone. This morning our corgis took off when I let them out this morning chasing what I thought was a deer. #corgicrew

I went crashing into the woods running after them only to find myself staring at the face of a good size partially-treed black bear about 20 feet from me. Gave us both a good surprise, but the bear retreated fast than I could.
