The stuff to get done has to include truth & reconciliation commissions, and prison time, @kamalaharris.com, or this nation as we’ve known it is simply done for

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

I can't really believe it but it seems to be the case that the Times has not covered a credible accusation of rape against the President of the United States, but has two solid stories on Obama's cheesecake factory quip.

Yeah I find it interesting how the media blackout is across the spectrum. First screenshot here is Fox News, second is MSNOW. Both within the last few minutes, so it’s current.

sorry to ruin your fun but his whole stoner nice guy routine is an act. Scooby's not even his real name, it's Gideon, and the only reason he can doss about in a mystery van is because his family, the D'Oubay-Doux, made a fortune in the East India Company in the 1700s. educate yourself.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

I don't know that there is a definitive line to cross that makes you say, "I live in a police state now" but when masked gunmen can routinely brutalize the public, citizen or immigrant alike, with impunity, you have reached that point.

Bicycles. The bikes of my youth were ridiculous, heavy, clunkers, with marginal brakes and shitty tires and handlebars that would make your hands numb inside an hour. These days it’s an embarrassment of riches, great machines with excellent ride characteristics.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

@gruber.foo This is disingenuous, John, and you know it. No one thinks Obama is a Nazi or a racist. What we are trying to help you see is that, by staying on X, you, he, and others are conferring legitimacy on a social network owned by and rife with Nazis and racists.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

Not for nothing but the phrase is “cut and dried” as in harvested and ready for consumption and fuck the ceo of flock

Jason Koebler@jasonkoebler.bsky.social

Flock's whole thing is that they argue their system does not need a warrant and they claim this is a settled issue. Very hard to overstate the importance that a federal judge has said this is not the case. Flock's CEO just said it was "pretty cut and dry"

There are many people for whom, currently, “AI” is inseparable from the most toxic people and organizations in the United States, if not on the planet, and for whom it feels revolting to use as a result. Solve for that. Please.

I feel like the debate about what parts of AI are good and what parts are bad should wait until we solve the worldwide crisis caused by the fact that almost of all of its evangelists in both tech and govt are morally, intellectually, and ethically unequipped to oversee it, when not downright evil.
